Piya : Sometimes I think she may forget to breathe.
" What is it about you, Abhay? Everytime that I see you , you turn my world upside down . You change everything within a second and I don't know what to do. "
This is how Piya had cribbed in a cute manner in a scene of the cafeteria where she was happily looking forward to seeing Abhay . He had appeared and then, ignored her . Her face had fallen and the second he told her that he loves her and she is and she will always be his , she had melted like a scoop of chocolate mousse in his arms.
And when you look at Piya today , you are amazed at this girl's heart and how no memory loss, no haute couture of Paris , no fame , no abusing and bashing of Abhay , not even Abhay himself has been able to kill Abhay's soulmate in Piya. She is still standing where she has always been – at the door of Abhay's heart.
Like Jay , even the audience is amazed that just where the hell did that snooty , arrogant and aggressive Piya Dobriyaal go the moment Abhay stepped into the horizon . He was shocked to find her in tears and so depressed and distressed over Abhay. If Jay hadn't seen what had happened , he could have very well believed that Abhay had just slapped Piya across her face. Piya looked so broken and 'dumped' that all of Jay's sarcasm and attitude flew out of the window. He tried his best to make her feel better and in the bargain he even shared her pain and they both called it a truce . Yet, life and smile just wouldn't return to Piya's face. Jay's words gave her comfort and you sigh in relief that finally , they have come clean – but his words could not undo the sting of the slap that Abhay had just delivered her. Jay , Piya's family and her other besties can heal Piya's heart but how do they heal her soul? They cannot. How will they? It lives with Abhay and refuses to come back to Piya until she finds it.
Abhay? You just have to applaud the man's guts , his resolve and his perseverance. Nothing is shaking him , nothing is ruffling him, nothing is unsettling him. He is here for his father and you can just read that iron in his eyes , his face and his whole demenour. Abhay had just broken Piya's heart but his recovery speed amazes you. The next moment you find him ripping Misha apart with such frigid dark humour that Misha , I repeat , Misha Dobriyaal is left speechless. The way he beats her up right-left-center , and that too more than necessary , you scratch your head and try to guess what glasses of Bournvita is Haseena serving him every morning . Abhay-Misha's scene was the best example of cutting dialogue exchange and high tension drama today. Abhay not only told Misha to control Piya who is obsessing over him but to sort out her life as well. Yeah, Misha is still trying to figure out what hit her.
In a way, Abhay is right , if you look at it. Its not Abhay who needs to be given warnings or be told to lay off Piya. Its Piya. Piya needs to be told and convinced that Abhay is not her Prince Charming , but a Statutory Warning. Its almost like Abhay and the whole world is on one side and Piya is stubbornly standing on the other side. Abhay and the whole world is screaming at her to forget Abhay but she is shaking her head and stamping her feet on the ground and bellowing – NO.
Abhay and the Dobriyaals SHOULD worry. Piya is beginning to show those alarming signs of her heartbreaking and fascinating , almost unearthly OCD with Abhay. Today , if you observe Piya's behavior in the whole episode , you can almost feel that Piya is slowly opening the windows . Opening the windows so that she can throw caution to the wind and go boomeranging into Abhay.
Her depressed , teary-eyed face that Jay tried so hard to turn upward into a smile. Her anxious questioning to Maya that why doesn't Abhay love her and care about her as Maya had described. Her puzzled stubborn thought that how can Abhay just stop caring about her when Maya tells her that Abhay has moved on and stopped caring about her. Her internal confusion that if Abhay is such a jerk , then, why can't she just move on? The way Piya's breath almost stops in her throat when Abhay steps out of his car with his mother and she looks at him like a child does at a candy that is in someone else's hand . Above all, you understand Abhay's fear and frustration , you realize the precarious and scary situation of Piya's state alongwith her irrevocable love when you see the last scene.
Abhay was an out and out villain and Haseena an out and out vamp to the gang in the last scene. They acted like powerful insensitive owners who didn't give a shit about the students and their crap. They even got private security guards on-board when simple English and Hindi did not help the students understand that everything was LEGAL. You don't see their faces crease when the guards stop the students by wielding force. But….. then, Piya , like always gives a red carpet invitation to trouble.
That branch of the tree was just waiting for madam Piya to break through the human wall , so that it can fall on her head.
As soon as Piya crosses the human wall to the portion where the deforestation is on , you see the arrogance and cruelty vanish from both Haseena and Abhay's faces. Its instantly replaced by worry for Piya. Freakin' little idiot! Does she want to come under a falling tree or what?
But maybe , the Piya Jaiswal in her wanted to be an idiot. Remember her question to herself that how can Abhay not care?
Abhay's ice cold frigid face slowly melts into a puddle of worry as he realizes that Piya is going to grace his property with her blood . He runs to her like the wind and pulls her to safety – the safest spot for Piya in this world – his arms.
Within a second , the whole rhythm of the scene changes. Piya's 'Save Our Land' anthem and her fear goes to get fed to birds . She is not scared anymore – there is no fear or after shock that she was about to get injured fatally . Nothing. The protesting demonstrator gets replaced by a dreamy Princess with the most gentle besotted expression and fairytale-ish countenance on her face. Her hand climbs up his heart and rests there – her eyes climb up his face and try to find her lost life there.
Its shocking , amusing and heartwarming at the same time when you see Piya bloom like a flower and ask Abhay that if , even now, he has it in him to tell her that he doesn't feel anything about her? Can he still say that there is nothing between them? Does he have the heart to tell her that she is nothing to him? You look at Piya's starry-eyed gentle face and then, you look at Abhay's steely resolved face and you shake your head. Hell yes, Piya! He is going to prick your pink balloon again! I wish you could recall that Abhay's talent of masking himself and his emotions is UNMATCHED.
No wonder, Abhay always ran scared of Piya and the depth of her love. What use was the memory loss anyway? Even the supernatural powers could not change a human-being's heart. Just look at that girl and her irrevocable love for Abhay. Nothing seems to shake it – not even Abhay himself. I am not going to say that Piya will fall in love with Abhay all over again. What all over again? She never stopped loving Abhay. Its almost like ever since her whole being came into existence Abhay has always been there.
The scene was a repeated one in choreography but the creatives changed the whole dynamics through Piya.
Don't think that am saying it in a negative sense but Piya's love for Abhay is ABNORMAL and PARANORMAL.
Infact , sometimes you fear that while looking at Abhay , Piya might just forget to breathe.
So, its Piya V/S. Abhay & the whole world. And we all know Piya's history. If she wants Abhay , she will get him – by hook or crook , whether Abhay approves or not. Right now, she is just looking for that one sign which will confirm it to her that Abhay cares. And if she can set herself on fire to find out Abhay's truth , she can jump off any mountain , any cliff , any edge to throw it in Abhay's face that he is hers.
P.S- Am glad that Arnab and Pancchi at least want to talk to Abhay instead of accusing and abusing him . I know he is going to be a jerk to them because he doesn't want to give any hope to anyone , but still, it felt nice. Secondly , I don't know why, Haseena looked scary in the precap. It was almost like she was sending out an unsaid warning to Abhay that he just cannot afford to fail – he has to save Chaand's life at any cost. Talk about Raichand power and how!
