I miss Piya Jaiswal
Okay, let's take it this way :
Piya Jaiswal :
Simple, earthy , ethereal like nature, soft hearted, genteel, sweet-tongued, forgiving , angelic, basic , grounded , all-embracing , benevolent , virgin ' hearted.
Piya Dobriyaal:
Decorated, lives like Blaire Waldorf from Gossip Girls minus the girly evil, kiddish , immature , belligerent , lost , unguided , vain , proud.
Honestly , speaking. I did not like or rather I did not identify with the Piya I saw today. The Piya we knew pre-leap would never kiss a stranger for a bet . The Piya we knew may have stood up to Tanushree but she would never talk in that tone ' proud , arrogant , harping on her supermodel tag and degrading not just T but all other girls trying to prove herself superior. I understand that T had to be taught a lesson but Piya Jaiswal had such poise, restraint and lady-like etiquette that she wouldn't be caught dead in a cat fight.
I mean, am totally at sea with this new avatar of Piya. Where has all the grace , all the softness and earthly beauty gone? Today , in the second half she seemed no less than a better and a tolerable version of T. Its like she has just totally lost it. The Piya Jaiswal we knew all along , the Piya Jaiswal everyone loved , the Piya Jaiswal Abhay fell in love with was not about glamour , frills , vanity cases and the flash of teenage flamboyant arrogance that we saw today.
Fine, Piya's memory is lost but it is selective amnesia . Abhay has just taken away her one year and that too in bits and pieces ' he didn't take away Piya's basic personality. Do people forget who and what they were just because they have a partial memory loss? No, they don't.
I still can't believe Piya used the word 'bitch/bitchy' while arguing with T. That is just NOT Piya. Piya used to even quarrel with her basic goodness and she never lost her poise and air unless she was screaming her lungs off at Abhay. I am not even sure if my post is making sense but I miss the girl I was seeing for a good 6 months. Piya was many things on the downside ' naive , judgmental, impulsive, blindly trusting , interfering. But there was never any arrogance or wild side to her.
I don't have issues with Piya going under a makeover- I mean, she looks great but this multiple personality disorder is unsettling. I repeat , I am glad that T was shown her place but the attitude , the language , the words used by Piya were not 'Piya's' .
Just explain this to me. What in the world happened to Piya Jaiswal? I don't intend to hurt anyone's sentiments , but am just so disappointed in her.
P.S- Behind all the glitter and glitz, Abhay is still sitting in Piya's subconscious head . So, when she visits familiar grounds ' the RJ play, near death experience , she sees his face . She imagines Abhay without knowing who he is. Her upset and a tad arrogant face melted like a dollop of ice cream as she looked at Abhay's eyes dreamily and her " Sorry. She pushed me" was so dumbly cute and musical. A flash of the old Piya. Sigh! And I think Jai , whatever his long run goal, his reaction to Piya's immature act of kissing his cheek was a befitting reply. I mean, hello, which respectable and dignified girl stands outside a man's washroom waiting to kiss the first man out? Bet? Gimme a break.
