Abhay , just how much can you save?
It was quite amusing to hear Sid say that " brothers were close" . It was so acidic to see Sid give those looks and threats to Abhay. We may not know the full story yet but it seems unlikely at this stage that Sid ever had any real emotion for Abhay. Or maybe he had but he loved himself supreme. Maybe Sid lost all emotion for Abhay when Abhay chose Maithli over Sid and Maithli chose Abhay over Sid. Perhaps this emotional rejection from both his brother and his object of affection brought out the dark in him . A darkness that has evolved into stark evil today where even Sid no longer exists ' its just 6ft , 80+ kgs of good looking swashbuckling evil.
Sid lost himself , centuries ago , the day he chose himself over his blood and humanity. For centuries , he has been trying to punish Abhay . Punish Abhay for being Maithli's true and only love. Trying to erase the reality ,trying to cover the bleeding wound that Maithli was always Abhay's . Still trying to separate AMETZ , and running defensively from the reality that Abhay, Maithli and he , himself died because he chose to be selfish and petty.
Sid's life is what it is because of the choices that he made. For himself. For Abhay. For Maithli.
Abhay ? Abhay is still at Maithli's grave, actually. Piya is still just a promise that he wants to take but is not delusional enough to not know that this promise is just as impossible as the rewinding of his lost life.
Abhay can sense history repeating itself. Ages ago, Sid took advantage of Maithli's innocent nature and her friendship. Maithli didn't approve of Abhay's jealous streak, little realizing that Abhay could sense the dark in Sid that was overpowering all the love that Sid had for Abhay. Today , Abhay is again on the crossroads. A nave , innocent Piya is smiling like a rabbit in Sid's friendship and his 'oh-so-warm-caring-gentlemanly-nature'. Like Maithli, Piya too is mistaking Abhay's alarms for unreasonable jealousy. Destiny , circumstances and mostly people in his own life never favour Abhay. He has to fight for everything , against everything and not to forget take the abuse box that is a permanent complimentary gift the creatives lurve giving this 'bahu''.oops..'hero-sheero'.
So, today , when he was irking the hell out of Sid by slipping into his rare mischievous side and dark humour , you can't help but think that just how much can Abhay save alone? Control Sid . Save Piya. Save Dobriyaal Package. Sometimes, I think he overestimates himself and takes his superhero role too seriously. Things would have been easier and smoother if he had told Piya the truth about Sid, the tragic past of 300 years and whatever he has hidden from her - Piya wouldn't have put ketchup on him and eaten him, right? At least , he would have had something , someone to fall back on . But him and his martyr waali aatma. I have never seen anyone else give such a red carpet treatment to misery like Abhay does.
Yes, Abhay will re write history. He has to. Maybe he will save Piya, save everyone. But will there be anyone to save him? Of course, Piya is the only hope , but 'anyway'. Dot dot dot dot dot.
P.S- How many softies think that Piya looking at the swing was very 'dj vu' types? Almost as if she has been here before on that swing?
