Misha : A falling Angel
Hi there,
Today , what stood out for me as a character was Misha. And what stood out to me as scenes were the Chaand-Haseena conversation about Piya , the sensitive Abhay-Piya scene and most importantly , the last scene where Misha , in a short story , put forward her mental and emotional state . This post reviews what is going on inside Misha , rather than what she is doing outside to herself and others.
I hope most of the regular viewers of this show remember the time when Piya had found , discovered and seen for the first time what Abhay really was. A vampire. Remember her reactions? The aftermath? Remember how tall claims of undying love for Abhay had flown out of the window the moment she saw him with fangs and realized that he was basically a walking dead supernatural being? Piya had lost all sanity , all balance and run from Abhay as though he was a plague. Everybody on forums , on youtube had cursed her for even thinking of treating Abhay like that. The disgust for Abhay , going to the extent of standing under the shower to wash away his touch , escaping the town to escape him and deciding to not only tell him to stay away from her but even blaming him for letting her fall in love with him. Piya was a pain to watch for those few weeks because you were baffled that how can one reality change the way you feel about a person?
Now, look at Misha and Piya. Just replace Abhay with Piya in the same picture that I have mentioned above and replace Piya with Misha. Isn't it the same picture? I am not saying that Piya's situation today is her karmic punishment for having treated Abhay like that on finding out who he really was or that she is going through what she put Abhay through. NO. ABSOLUTELY NOT. What I am trying to say is that just as we had understood Piya at that time , cementing our support by saying that she is 'only human', in 'shock' , that she will 'come around ', that her love for Abhay will rise above her fear for him – the same applies to Misha as well.
Misha is NOT a monster . I don't see her as one even if she seems to be behaving like one. I see her as a betrayed 17 year old who has been cheated by her father , her mother and kept in the dark by her best friend. The people she invested her heart , her trust in , let her down and it is not a small let down. Suddenly , fate has punched her in the face and her perfect world has come crashing down . Her father was her center , Piya was her 'sister' from another mother and she was living an illusion. Her every belief , her tender and innocent existence and her all grounds of faith were shattered by that one truth that her father was not the hero she had thought him to be – and Piya was no longer the innocent BFF but a symbol of her father's bigamy , his betrayal, his unfaithfulness and above all a threat to Misha's small happy world. As ridiculous as it sounds, and no matter what justification we give Arnab and Piya , the fact does not change that the two people she loved and trusted backstabbed her.
And what would you do if I prick a needle into your skin? You are not going to hug me and buy me ice lollies. You are going to writhe in pain and beat the hell out of me. So, how can anyone expect Misha , whose relationships with both Arnab and Piya are more emotionally hinged than Pancchi's with them , not react? Why shouldn't she be angry? Why shouldn't she let the hurt show? Why should she be a saint when she is not? Just because Piya, Madhu and Pancchi have accepting hearts , is it mandatory that Misha, too has to be some sort of superhuman who is vaccinated against normal human reactions?
Misha is all heart , just like Piya and Abhay. And when people are all heart , their thinking is from the heart and their every vein ends in their heart. Their wounds have the same depth as their love. And they take everything to heart. When Misha loved Piya , she stood by her like a pillar , opened her arms and heart to her , thrashed T and her bimbos for hurting her, cried like a baby that Piya would want to leave her, she had momentary remorse and tears in her eyes when Abhay reprimanded her for putting Piya in a bloodied state , she was the first one to run and call for an ambulance for the BFF she hates today . So, today , when , for a change , Misha is letting her hurt and despair show , I understand that it is wrong but how can anyone not see where it is coming from? You see her anger , you see her meanness but do you know what it is like to be in her shoes and be expected to have a sudden heart transplant and beam " hey , even if you betrayed me , am as cool as a cucumber."
It is easy to judge Misha , maybe being judgmental is human nature , but you have no idea , absolutely no idea the feeling when one fine day someone walks into your life , changes the whole picture and tells you that your world is not as perfect as you believe it to be.
Misha is in a bad phase and totally unarmed . Unarmed. She needs help , support and reassurance at this point rather than her luggage at Ruhi's house.
P.S – Misha is a loose cannon right now and the only thing I don't want her to end up doing is plotting and scheming to hurt Piya . Misha does feel that Piya has snatched her father from her and in times like these , you often do the same to the other person . And we all know what is the best way to hurt Piya, Her weakest spot and that is Abhay. The new promo doesn't have a very good feel to it. Misha warming up to T and Abhay may mean nothing or may mean a lot. Misha is explosive right now and if she targets Abhay to hurt Piya , don't be surprised. Hearts don't just break- THEY GET EVEN.

Oh and oh , the Piya-Arnab-Madhu scene was SO FLAT that even your floor would have more fat than the scene . Poor dialogues , such paper-thin interaction that Pancchi's hug to Piya had more emotion to it than the family crap outside Raichand Mansion. Same goes for Sid's shower of love , affection and apology to Abhay. There was no emotion on Sid at all and even if Abhay had his eyes shut , he would have understood that Sid would have thrown a party had Abhay died.🤣
