Think it's again going to be 'each to her own'. 😆
No use thrashing out this point coz we both have different experiences/observations.Though I do blame (yeah, 'blame') the media for exposing all the dirt, and thereby polluting the minds of the people, especially children. And yet on another level, I feel that it was something that needed to be done. So I guess I want to say that I blame the media for being irresponsible and choosing TRPs = money = power over ethics. It is the media that has made these things seem 'ok'.Maybe there was a time when people could differentiate between reality and fantasy, but not anymore, and that is mainly because on one hand the media is bring celebs closer to the viewers, making them seem 'real', and on the other hand, it is exposing the viewers to real life incidents similar to the shows. It is a vicious cycle. :|
@brown i thought that we both were on the same track😛i mean i too believe that theses kind of relationships used to happen in the past too, however people weren't that open about them.as they used to happen behind closed doors and it all was a hush hush issue and whenever the word was out in the public people used to condemn such acts so basically no one used to dare to flaunt their indecent deeds😆maybe we are only disagreeing on the percent of people who were affected😆..you say it was as same as today, while i say it wasn't spread like an epidemic as it is nowadaysyeah...that's the thing...percentages. otherwise toh we agree. (waise bhi a li'l disagreement is healthy. 😉 I like that we are not fighting. 😆😆😆)@blue, this was my whole point of this topic, as i blame them too and i totally agree with youhowever i also blame the parents and those who the kids hang out with, like friends and others, parents should be open up with their kids and discuss things like these with an open mind , they are the first base of teaching the kids values and whats right and acceptable and whats wrong!yeahh......true. rat race se n apne time pass se time mile toh kuch sikhaayein na bacchon ko.
@ red, again totally agree, i know from where you coming, as many celebs are having living in relationships, its crazy i tell you, kids try to imitate their favorite celebs in whatever they do, they sometimes worships them to an extent, that they even glorify and justify their adulterous actsbut here again comes the parents role, to condemn such acts and remind them of the consequences!hmmmm.....a lot of parents themselves indulge in all these things themselves, or are too busy earning money to deal with the kids. others keep telling their kids the right things but don't get listened to, while some parents let their kids do whatever they want coz they want their kids to be 'cool'. I actually know parents from all these categories and their kids are totally irresponsible and 'bad'. oh and I know of parents who are always in a denial state - this girl ran away from home to meet her bf n her mum called me asking where her daughter was. I told her I didn't know, and that I hadn't talked to her in weeks. later that evening I called to find out about her, toh the lady said "oh she was in bed only...didn't see her under the blankets." and that was only the first time I had talked to her mum!!!! and when I confronted the girl, she told me she had sneaked out n then sneaked back in n told her mum she was in her room only toh her mum bought it saying "I know my daughter can never do anything wrong.'"these kids actually curse their parents for trying to stop them from doing wrong! 🤢
@brown, maybe you are talking about where you come from and i am about my own society, so lets agree to disagree in this! although i am aware that back in sixties or was it seventies there were groups who didn't believe in marriage at all, and were swingers too like Austin Powers😆..but they were anti social groups, so still that doesn't make them a high percent of the societyyeah...that's why agreed not to thrash this one out coz we both have different demographics and sources of information n all. 😆@blue 😆 well disagreement what makes the discussion go on and well it makes it more interesting na😉..as you get to know the situation in more then one angle, and you will learn a thing or two from someone else's perspectivesyeah....but have had a few bad experiences elsewhere so was expressing my happiness it's not so here. 😆@green thats really sad! people should set their priorities right, kids should come first then anything else, otherwise they shouldn't have kids in the first place!super-like!
@red this is really bad, trust me i have seen these kind of parents too, moreover some parents are so selfish that they just dont care what their kids are up to! all they acre about their own peace of mind!about parents being in denial state! tell me about it! they are like now way! not my kids! when everything is so obvious that they are doing something wrong!! moreover they might blast anyone who try to genuinely advice them! its really sad!i witnessed such an incident where someone told a mother that his 17 year boy is going out with a 27 year old woman, and maybe having an affair with her, the mother had a major fight with that person and finally said i dont care if you saw this with your own eyes!she told her even when you see any of my kids with anyone you have no right! although the other woman was the boy's aunty, and trust me when i say this woman is a clear example of a selfish and careless mother!@ purple, i know some do! how could they!, once i saw a girl giving her mom finger of F..off while she was talking with her in the phone and when she hang up she verbally abused her!I know of kids who do it to their parents' faces. doesn't even shock me anymore.
if I fight with my parents, it's over something huge and then I apologise and do something to show them that what I did or said was coz I was hurt and not out of disrespect, and they understand it too. can't even think of abusing them!
LOL, I understand totally how you feel. 😆😛
payal i totally agree with you again (seems this is my fav line)😳😆@blue again you spoke my mind, i just hope my mom doesn't read this otherwise she will kill me🤣 ..not that she reads IF@red totally, its 100% wrong!
@ bold i cant imagine how their parents would feel, poor them@blue same here! moreover i try to be cute and write notes of i am sorry , love you and stick them on their bedroom door and it works like a charm😆😉
