the general theme of the story is good but i really dislike the poor accented english that is spoken by the characters. does being a modern story mean that you have to speak forced english instead of your first language which comes naturally. seriously,, the story is is set in india so whats with all that it comes across pretty lame. the whole ''we wanna be ooh soo american'' theme is even stretched to the unrealistic and nonsensical attire worn by maithli. what was wrong with wearing an old fashined sari or something! then of course we have the portrayal of a desperate teacher ermmm ok! ande t's kissing booth??? i dont even think anyy indian girls who are born and bred in the UK would do that!

Errm..I am a teenager, and seriously, we speak English mixed with Hindi. Nobody can speak proper shudh Hindi, and their accent ain't bad - It's normal. It's the way every teenager speaks.

Maithali's attire was cool, in my opinion. Saris would give a saas bahish approach to the whole thing.

T's kissing booth was lame. I have seen girls do that, and yeah it's alright, but lame. 🤢

i think this point has already been discussed by sum one earlier

so wats abt pure hindi???

i know its a hindi show but english touch give it a youth look and in our colleges i think students speak english/hindi/urdu mix.

it gives a fresh look and youthful look.

i think abhay luved maithli century or half ago..

so maithli dresses according to that time are super cool........

maithli is not a gal of this age

We speak a Hindi-English mix....but yeah, the English spoken by the characters is rather badly accented....and sometimes they even mix up the genders of things/objects (I've seen that in most other shows too, and it really gets on my nerves).

Maithili's attire might be right for her time period, but in England or some other European country. The Indian women wore sarees or other Indian outfits only. Gowns/frocks weren't really that popular in India until the whole beauty queen thingy happened...unless you count the ones worn in the movies - but that usually depicted the wearer as maybe not that virtuous.

And the kissing booth is an outright Western thing. Sure, there are girls who aren't that "virtuous", but no one does it all this openly. :|

about the language... Im 15 years old in USA and from Nepal but I speak in English 24/7, even with my parents.
and about the kissing booth i thought it was only a peck on the cheek not mouth to mouth action.

Hmm..Pure Hindi..Teenager don't talk pure languages..*Hinglish*It's a hooking generation..
It's the new trend that everyone follow..
Thou even in India..many old generation ppl also don't knw pure hindi..
U'll find in very rare ppl speaking it..(it's sad but we speak mix languages)here the characters don't speak vulgar n I think that's more important..as I have found out in other hindi shows..

Talking abt Maithili..I think she's wearing a perfect dress..other wise it wuld luk lyk a ghost story..for ex: *white sarees*
Though the kissing Boot thing does not happened in India..
But we r talking abt T..
bimboo's can do anything..& lastly it's a fiction..so enjoy it..

yaa, not only in colleges, now everyone in home too, uses, their mother toungue, mix with few eng words i think..

cause sometimes, we don't get the word, we put eng word to that sentence, & its a common thing now

Ummmm...ok I don't know how to react to this one because I simply don't agree with even one word. I quite like Maithili's attire and I think its perfect. And as far as the language goes, it is the language that the college students speak. Its perfectly normal and very relatable. Coming to the accent, I really find nothing wrong in it.

About the teacher and the kissing both nonsense, well it was lame I don't deny but thankfully so much was being shown side-by-side that I didn't really bother with those things.

This is a youth show... The actors are supposed to represent teenagers... They're still practically kids! 😳

I live in the USA where English is the first and primary language, and honey, they aren't even close to acting like typical Americans... 🤔 This is supposed to execute teenagers in the 21st century in a college enviornment... What do you expect?

I don't know much about Maithali, but I think she's supposed to be young... I really have no clue? 😕 🤡 I did find T's kissing booth pretty odd and senseless, though. 😆 But, T is supposed to be personified and come across as a "dumb blonde."
