At Mount College.
Anushka is walking down the corridor with a pile of books in her hands. Suddenly, out of nowhere , Kabir pops up with a big bright smile.
Kabir ( pleasantly )- Hey Anushka! How is you this morning ?
Anushka looks at him curtly and then, a slow smile spreads across her pear shaped face.
Anushka ( smiles )- Am fab. Thank you.
Kabir ( sighs in relief)- Phew! I thought you'd still be blowing fire because'
Anushka ( continuing her walk)- Because Piya sent Abhay to jail? Let's get over it, Kabir. All is well now, well almost. It was just an ugly moment.
Kabir ( nods )- Yeah , but justice has still not been delivered to Maya. I feel bad for her. It's not Abhay who has done that to her' I wonder who the monster is.
Anushka stops in her tracks and looks at Kabir.
Anushka ' Kabir , Maya wants all of us to shut up on this issue. So, let's leave it there'
Just then, as Anushka and Kabir are crossing a pathway , a speeding car comes Kabir's way and even before Kabir can sense it , Anushka grabs his arm and pulls him aside.
Kabir ( shocked )- Whoa! What was that!
Anushka glares at the car and the car's tyres puncture and the car rams into a fence.
Kabir ( shocked )- Oh no!
Kabir and other students including Misha run towards the car . But before they can open the door, T , her hair a mess and leaves and twigs on her clothes tumbles out of the car . She is not hurt but a very funny sight. Anushka slowly walks towards them.
Misha ( giving T a helping hand )- Blunderista yesterday. Dumbelina today!.... Don't take Abhay's rejection so seriously, Dumpeshwari. Trying to commit suicide in full public view!
T ( dusting her clothes )- Oh shut up , you psycho. I was not trying to commit suicide.
Anushka ( walking into the crowd )- Of course she was not' she was trying to run down Kabir , huh?
Kabir ( trying not to laugh )- Errm, that is true actually. T almost killed me but Anushka saved my life '..
T ( irritated )- Oh shut up. I was just trying to put on some mascara and the steering wheel wavered.
Misha ( looks into her face like a curious child )- What mascara ? You look equally evil ' with or without make up.
T just stamps her feet and goes off.
Anushka just shakes her head and turns to go but Kabir blocks her way. Anushka looks at him with raised eyebrows.
Anushka ( jokes )- If you girlfriend sees you blocking ways of beautiful women like me, you might actually meet an accident.
Kabir ( smiles )- Anushka, I will be honest. You are just as weird as your brother'. For a few seconds I felt that you pulled me off the pathway with a superhuman force '.or do things just happen around you? I mean, that tree falling on the day of Abhay's arrest was also'
Anushka ( laughs )- Watch less fantasy on TV, my friend. Superhumans' supernatural is ' well' nothing.
Kabir ' Still' thank you.
Anushka ( shrugs her shoulders )- You are welcome.
Kabir ( looks at her searchingly )- You are nicer than your brother, Anushka. Even though , you both are equally mysterious'.
Anushka ( looks out at the parking lot and Abhay is getting out of his car )- Abhay is bad . I know. But'.it is not his fault. He has just had a ' well, a hard life.
Kabir ( looking at Abhay walking up the steps and spotting Misha and Sam talking )- Hard life? He is born with a golden spoon ' is spoilt rotten . What could go wrong with him?
Anushka ( emotionally )- Everything' ( snaps out of it)' am late for class, Kabir. I will catch you later.
Anushka turns into the corridor and Kabir looks at the brother-sister duo and has a thoughtful look on his face.

Abhay is watching Sam and Misha talk by the tennis court and Piya is watching him. Sam and Misha are busy yapping while Abhay is keeping a cold eye on them . Piya looks anxious and restless as she wants to talk to him. Sam steals a glance at Abhay and just to spite him , he tucks a hair strand behind Misha's ear. Misha looks struck but laughs it off because Sam is so casual about it. Abhay looks angry but says nothing because there are students all around. He gives Sam a hard look and turns towards the library block.
Abhay ( to himself )- Misha will fall into his trap. How do I stop her now. Sam is a lady killer and Misha is just a nave kid'.( thinks hard)' what could he want from a human being like her? Misha has nothing to do with me' the Dobriyals have nothing supernatural about them ' then, WHAT!
Just then, Abhay hears a echoing crying sound and he freezes in his tracks. His face seems to crumble in emotion. He spins around and sees Maithli ' standing far away ' in a flowing green dress ' her face tear stricken and hair flying across her face . Her arms are outstretched towards him. Abhay is shocked and looks totally hypnotized.
Maithli ( sadly )- Get me out of here, Abhay'..please get me out of here'..i am scared. All alone''
Abhay is walking towards her and his hand is raised in her direction as if to touch her. He looks near tears . He gets closer and she appears a beautiful angel . She puts her hands on his face with tearful eyes'
Maithli ( intensely)- I love you, Abhay'.i will always love you' ( she kisses his cheek and he closes his eyes )' and you will always love me, Abhay'.only me. None else'
Abhay ( hugging her )- I will always love you, Maithli' only you'
Maithli takes Abhay's hand and turns. Abhay follows her and suddenly he hears Piya's voice reach him'..
Piya ( screams )- ABHAY!
Abhay snaps out of the moment and finds himself standing at the edge of the block staircase and his arm grabbed by Piya. Abhay looks around and there is no Maithli.
Piya ( turning him around )- Abhay!... ( shakes him )' come to your senses ! What were you doing? Whom were you talking to?
Abhay looks at Piya but his mind is still on Maithli. He pulls away his arm and looks around for her as a stunned Piya watches.
Abhay ( madly ) Where did she go!....She was just here '. I saw her!
Piya ( stops him)- Abhay, there is nobody here ' there was nobody here. Are you alright?
Abhay looks at Piya's worried and concerned face and he comes to his senses'.
Abhay ( putting his face into his hands )- I am fine, Piya'I am fine' I must go. I must go'.
Abhay is looking at Piya's face and backing away as she watches helplessly. Maithli's voice is ringing in his head'
Maithli's voice ' You will always love me, Abhay'. You will come back to me'.
Piya is taken aback by Abhay's state and goes to him again.
Piya ( her heart in her mouth )- Abhay , are you sure you can go? Sit here for sometime' you need to relax.
Abhay ( screams in frustration and grabs her by her shoulders )- I don't need to relax, Piya! I need to get away from you, don't you understand? '..Leave me alone! Stop being nice to me. Stop being concerned . Stop trying to mend fences !......Hate me, Piya. You are supposed to hate me!
Piya is baffled by Abhay's outburst and is too stunned to say anything. She can feel that Abhay is more hurt than angry and she finds tears springing in her eyes'
Piya ( meekly )- Don't say that, Abhay. I ' I don't hate you'. I am saying sorry' I sent you'
Abhay ( drawing her even closer )- Carnations! You sent me carnations!....i can't stand them! I hate those flowers '(suspiciously )'. Why did you choose carnations?
Piya ( like a scared child )- I like them'.
Abhay is stunned and he lets go of her shoulders ''
Flash : Maithli collecting carnations in a flower field and Abhay watching her with loving eyes'.
Abhay ( turning away)- You are my punishment , Piya'..i know why this is happening to me '.it is not your fault', it isn't'..
Abhay goes away and Piya just watches him go , almost collapsing against a wall'.
Piya ( numb )- Do I'.do I remind him of something'. Or someone?
