Abhay is sitting in the living room, coolly sifting through a magazine while Haseena is pacing around the room like a wild tiger. Chaand is smoking his pipe by the fireplace and Anushka is sitting next to Abhay and watching everyone.

Anushka ( clearing her throat )-I think we are worrying for nothing, Haseena!.....The situation is under control.

Haseena stops in her tracks and glares at Anushka '

Haseena ( keeping her hands on her hips)- Oh yes, my darling little witch! The situation is under control for sure'. Maya is pregnant with some lousy human's baby . Sam and rest of the wolves are breathing down our necks . Maithli's doppelganger Piya is driving Abhay crazy and on top of that , she is threatening to send Abhay to prison because he has apparently fathered Maya's child and abused her!.... (throws up her hands )' great! I never heard of a more out-of-control situation in my life!

Abhay puts the magazine down and gets up.

Abhay ( putting his hands in his pockets )- I have told you before and I am telling you again. You are fearful for nothing'..Piya is just a nuisance and if she wants to send me to jail, let her. I don't care. As for the werewolves, Sam can only play dirty games to bring me around to feed them my blood or else they need to attack me as wolves on a particular night that comes just once every month'..tough situation for them , not for me.

Chand ' Abhay , it is not as cool as you are making it sound. The werewolves getting your blood means their complete possession of you and the end of our breed in this region!.....We have already lost enough of our clan to those wolves.You know what their aim is'. To finish our existence.

Abhay ( shoots him a dark look)- As long as I don't get staked by a vampire slayer , nobody can touch you all'.and it is not just about my blood. Sam and his gang needs a witch to aid them and as long as Anushka is with us, she will not let any witch join hands with them!

Haseena ( agitatedly)- Maithli! She is a witch and she is with them!

Abhay looks disturbed at this and Anushka presses his hand to stop him from bursting into temper.

Abhay ( hurt)- A dead witch who cannot be brought back to life without the ritual! I know I can bring her back to life but am not so that you all can live! Isn't that enough for you all to trust me?

Haseena ( fumes)- Sometimes, I just wish that you fall in love with that Piya! She is less dangerous than your half dead witch girlfriend!

Anushka ' Haseena!

Abhay ( screams )- Why don't you all decide first what you want me to do with Piya? She is just a reflection of my Maithli! And I will always love Maithli even though I sacrificed her for a 1000 lives of my breed'.( backing away)'. Ungrateful! That's what you all are!

Saying this, Abhay runs up the staircase and Anushka goes after him'.

Chand and Haseena look at each-other.

Chand ( angrily )- Why do you have to remind him of Maithli all the time?

Haseena ( shoots back)- So that he keeps away from Piya! I'd rather have him sobbing in Maithli's memory than go weak, human and vulnerable in Piya's love! '( takes a deep breath)'. Call Maya. Either she is telling me who the father of that child is or am destroying her womb!

Chand ( throws his drink in a corner)- Shut up! Are you out of your mind? We need that half-vampire and half-human baby! '. We need this new generation!

Abhay is standing at the window of his room and tears can be seen glistening in his eyes as he looks at the moon. He is thinking about both Maithli and Piya with a pained expression on his face. Anushka slowly walks into the room and comes and stands next to him.

Abhay ( sensing her presence )- Sometimes , I think I was the greatest fool to let Maithli die and become Sam's possession so that my tribe , my clan, my breed could live'.not even a single day goes when I don't feel guilty for not finding her body and breathing life back into her'.

Anushka ( sweetly)- Abhay, there was just one choice at that time. Your love or your moral duty. You did what a Hero would do'. Let it go'..

Abhay ( shakes his head )- I tried' maybe I succeeded but now' now that I see Piya everytime , I burn enough to go up in flames'..( sighs )' I don't even treat her right, Anushka because'.

Anushka ( smiles )- Because you fear you will let your heart go and you can read it that she is attracted towards you?"

Abhay looks at her in surprise, first and then, just nods.

Anushka ( thinking)- Abhay , do you think you could fall in love with Piya? Even if she was not Maithli's doppelganger?

Abhay doesn't say anything. He puts his hand in his pocket and takes out a locket. He opens it and there is a small painting of Maithli in it. He runs his finger over Maithli's face and a small smile comes over his face'.

Abhay ( pensively )- Maithli was mine. Piya isn't. She is a normal and nice human-being and she deserves a normal and nice life'.( looks at Anushka)' I did the mistake of pulling Maithli into the terrains of the supernatural and she died a brutal death of a witch'..i cannot repeat history'.( getting back into his cold attitude )' right now, my focus is Sam and his pack'. And I have to see what I can do for Maya!
