Part 1- A New Beginning
She opened her hostel room window, letting the golden rays of the sun on the tiled floor of the room. She knelt down, and sniffed a rose, nodding her head in excitement. A new day and a new beginning. It was her first day in Mount College, a college known for its excellence all over Dehradun. Piya was a sharp girl, no doubt!
She went into the bathroom, and splashed water on her face, thinking about her strange experience the other night. Being new to a place was really tough, much tougher for Piya.
She kept on walking, not knowing the distance she had walked. The path was strange, full of grass and scary looking trees. So, she was in the forest. But how? She tried to recollect. She had lost her way while returning from Misha's house. She walked on and on. Unknowing as to where and which direction she was walking in. Face wet with tears and dirt, she brushed her hair away from her face, rubbed her eyes and tried to concentrate and get out of the forest.
The air felt cool on her cheeks and she gathered some strength and started taking longer steps, when her leg got entangled to a branch and she fell down.
Hearing someone knock at the door, she abruptly came out of her deep thinking and rushed out to open the door, finding Misha there. "Piya ? Itna time lagaya tumne ? Not good at all!, come on, lets go, dad is waiting and we are getting late. "
They rushed out of the hostel and ran to Misha's car and drove away. Again in her thinking, Piya did not pay heed to what Misha blabbered to her.
As she fell, she hurt her leg badly and the shooting pain brought tears to her eyes. Trying hard to get up, she collapsed again. Suddenly, somewhere out of the darkness, she saw a blur figure come towards her and felt real cold hands pick her up and carry her. His eyes were strange and hypnotic, as if trying to tell her something she did not understand.
"Kaun tha woh ? Woh aankhien... jaise.. jaise mujhse kuch kehna chahti ho... "
"Piya ? Kya soch rahi ho ? Chalo !!! MOUNT COLLEGE, here we come !"
