As we know TRP is a vast & debatable subject, ratings mainly matter to channels & then to some extent producers as to what those <60k sample households generate weekly as data, so as to negotiate ad slot rates with advertisers..
Majority Indian TV viewers (who are in crores, be it paid & free subscribers to TV channels) don't check BARC weekly charts to decide which fiction show to watch or not. Neither do popular stars bring TRPs which is a myth,😳 yeah they help generate interest or create hype in audience for getting attractive openings, later its serials concept, characters, twists, drama, thrill, content, promotions, competitive time slot, performances etc. that sustain interest in same viewers to continue watch a serial for long.
Instead of telecasting regular 21-22 mins length daily episodes, if channel compromises on ad duration & revenues to telecast 23-25 mins length episodes regularly, sometimes even 27-30 mins, obviously those sample households who watch RM spend more time before TV, as ads duration is less so won't use remote often to switch channels during breaks, 😛also attention can increase if there is some life threat drama or suspense happening in the serial. Hence it may help show rise in TRPs which is a manipulative way of showing rise.😳 This LSD ph seems ok to lose ad revenue share per episode where as BT ph won't, hence we rarely see long Bhagya episodes telecast on same Z channel unlike RM.
Wish Colors & Sony channels also come out of their regular 21-22 mins length & telecast more longer episodes to showcase rise in ratings when some big drama happens in their serials.🤪to manipulate & declare audience is engagingly watching current plots drama being shown, when reality is something else..😳
