According to me Ekta is giving a very bad image of India, Indian women & Indian culture through her serials. Her stories are always revolving around men-woman love story, their revenge and sacrifices. Her main characters are always at 2 far ends..... one too good to be true and other too evil to be true.... Her main lead which is always women is either:
(i)A model of sacrifice
(ii) the heroine is way too smart to fight for truth even if it goes against her family and is stupid to do that .e.g. these days in Bidaai, Sadhna gave witness against ranvir-one who saved her izzat saying that I was telling the truth. Honestly how many of us can swear that they have never lied???couldnt she give a modified statement for ranvir & family's good???? It is allowed in religion also that if a lie is for someone's betterment then it is okay to lie......and which indian women would do this, doesnt she know that she will be instantly thrown out of the house(susraal) after doing this. Although i have stopped watching bidaai once i read that sadhna will give a statement against ranvir and again the same bull*** will be shown. According to me sadhna deserves to be thrown out of the house....jis ne us ki izzat bachai ussi ko jail mei dalwa dia......sorry sadhna fans but tell him how many of you would give a statement against a person who saved you from a gunda? who would give a statement against her devar + jeeja???? would it have been better for Sadhna to get raped by that person if ranvir had not interfered........
I have never heard of a such a GREAT women who will claim a child to be her illegitimate child to save his husband/fiance's sister from problems (prachi of kayamath). I dont think any women can be so great ke apne hi character per dhaba lagne de dosre ko bachane ke liye. Why is she saving a girl who has crossed her cultural & religious limits b4 marriage...... no one have the guts to take the responsibility of such a big gunnah for someone not even for your sister. I mean we Asian women can give our life for our husbands & families but not our izzat........Even kumkum in her 2nd janam stayed quiet when her cousin went to meet her boy friend in night wearing kumkum's shawl and the whole village accused kumkum but she didnt speak the truth to save her cousin but did she ever thought what damage she has made to her character & father's prestige. It is only drama in which you get a good life parnter in the form of a hero after all the big incidents happening in your life but in real life if a women is accused of a wrong thing even if it is a misunderstanding, the life becomes so difficult for her & her family.
Apart from 3-4% exception which women from a respectable family will intentionally sleep with a man to make him his own and to distance him from his girl friend/heroine? (monalika of Kahani ghar ghar ki and many more too)
Which Indian women would still think about her long lost love after her marriage with a nice guy. These vamps dont forget their love & rivalry till their old age. Eastern women are kind of women who forget about everything after their marriage & kids (apart from 5-6% exceptions, even if they remember their love, it is only in their memories). For them only their husband & kids are important and that is shown in movies but our daily soaps shows very negative shade of women in her serials and the heroines which she show as the model of sacrifice are tooooo unrealsitic basically stupid, their sacrifice never makes sense and doesnt make any good difference in the life of the person for whom they are making sacrifice. No women in her right mind would give sacrifices which she shows; like prateeksha marrying an evil man like prashant. Why does she need to marry him after knowing his reality??? there is no sacrifice for sumo in the first place....according to me if she has decided not to marry shanky then just stay firm with her decision, what's the reason behind marrying prashant even after shashank has assured her twice that he will marry sumo if she breaks her engagement with prashant. Nothing abt prats-prashant makes sense these days.
Why is it always that in order to take revenge of your husband's death from your ex-boy friend who happens to be the hero of the serial, the heroine needs to marry him to take revenge (kashish of Kahin tou ho ga and many others). Isnt their any other way?
there are countless other questions which come to my mind as well as in the minds of all other viewers......
I would love to get some response about my above discussion to see what young girls/women feel like......
