Too much ego. But leave ahilyabai serial if a male can have a ego a female too can have an ego as per

I understood the sarcasm about me in the earlier post and I have answered that.

They are showing Ahilyabhai as someone who goes to durbar like she is not able to control herself. , Interrupt anyone there in durbar even the king as someone who is unable to control herself boring anyone to death with her screechy high pitched voice, She is supposed to be mischievous which excuses most of her behaviour which includes but not limited to making the donkey bray at Khanderao among other things , back answer Gautama several times etc etc . Ruining other characters is another thread. But it is only about Ahilya here.
Just because I was not “there” does that make whatever Ahilya is shown to be doing real? Leave alone other characters Ahilya is the loudmouth here with no other talent than a compassionate heart She speaks out of turn, touches others things without permission is also a little bit cunning. very very adamant and someone who did not get “inspired” by her brothers getting educated but suddenly wants to try her hand in the persuit of education and whose own father left the topic of her education in a cliff hanger and all this is this being done to show her as emancipated? at the age of nine? Somebody in another thread posted that she used to bring Khanderao from dancers house in a drunken state. Was that emancipation? She was going to commit sat. She did not refuse saying don’t I have a life of my own? So why is she shown like this? Is this not butchering her character like they did to other historical heroes in other serials?

@Bold: Compared to other historical and mythological shows aired on TV and I had watched most of them from Prithwiraj Chauhan to Maharana Pratap to Ashok to Star Plus Mahabharat and so many, this show on Ahilya is going much better taking in account of the documented stuffs. And I don't mind this sort of liberty by CVs as long as Ahilya's character don't get ruined. And also I don't think Ahilya going to Durbar and speak her mind out or rather wanting to do stuffs what her husband do is much of a big dissapointing factor compared to other historical disappointments shown in others hit historical shows throughout the years. And there its not been criticized much cuz those are all about male rulers and warriors and those characters were being played by famous tv stars. All were actually shown superman and their heroines were all an epitome of ideal wife unlike Ahilya as shown in Sony.

@Red- You have watched the show very seriously IMHO. Touching other's thing means Khander Rao's stuff I guess. What is cunning about that and that too for a 10-12 year old girl?

You are speaking like strict Gautama Bai who thinks counter answering is a serious offence being a woman.

💯

Completely agree with everything you've said.

Although this show has many plotholes and is moving in a snail's pace, yet it still is much better than some historical shows made previously.

And commiting mistakes is very natural and quite expected from a nine year old. A proper journey of the protagonist's charater is always appreciated. That's why I didn't mind those scenes where Ahilya was playing Khanderao's mridang, because probably in our childhood( when we were 8/9) we also had touched others things without their permission.

But what I dislike in this show is the glorification/ignorance of Ahilya's mistakes. Like after the drama of Khanderao's vachan, when Ahilya ran away at night, Malharrao scolded Khanderao in front of his inlaws( and rightfully so, considering Khanderao definitely made a blatant error). But he didn't say anything to Ahilya for the foolishness she committed, which could have risked her life. This disappointed me, I would have liked it if Malharrao showed Ahilya her mistakes as well.

Are the CVS butchering her character to make it that unreal?

She has to keep saying "accha" "theek hai" and get her way!

Supergirl saves the day everyday...all historic stuff made me impressed when read about it, but this show is just overdoing it...

. @bold So true. Ahilyas mistakes are not pointed out. Especially running away and hiding making everyone worry. She is not caring for anyone. With such an “enlightened” gyani father who treated her so well in those times still she never thought much of saraswati ma earlier. Only in palace she has become a fan of saraswati ma. I think Gautama inspired her more than her own father.LOL . And then do much adamant and running away so that she does not have to promise she can just refuse to promise saying she doesn’t swear for anything.Khanderao seems to be egotistic jealous and sadistic.

Scolding Khanderao in front of his in-laws what effect has it had on Khanderao? And the. Maaafi mangna has made him very bitter towards Ahilya. No matter what Malhar does Khanderaos behaviour has not become any better. Earlier the three friends joined in bullying Ahilya now God knows where they went but good riddance. Khanderaos behaviour only goes from bad to worse . Shouldn’t Malhar reflect upon it that I matter what he does Khanderaos behaviour is not getting better.

Totally Agree👍

I wish in future Malhar reflects on his mistakes and rectifies them, just like he accepted about his faults in front of Gautama.

All scoldings of Malharrao, are impacting Khanderao in a very negative manner.

@ bold Don’t know about other shows haven’t watched Prithviraj Chauhan. Watched Maharana Pratap I am a big fan of the historical character but they messed up the story but did not ruin the kids character nor the adult. Not a fan of Ashok the real guy did not watch the show. As for comparison the way they show Bala Ahilyas bala leelas yes they have messed up a lot showing Gautama as they show here or Khanderao as they show here. Sure real life Khanderao did visit brothel but not because his mom pampered spoilt him silly and painted Ahilya as bad or because he was jealous and had low self esteem because Ahilya was super intelligent Hi character even as they show here he is a fairly intelligent guy with qualities and redeemable character . She is a lady so glorify her but be realistic in showing that as well.

There is nothing cunning about touching Khanderaos stuff LOL but the books episode where she took it from the pandit she was cunning Oh yeah. As for touching Khanderaos stuff she was way out of line there . It is his precious personal stuff and given the type of off on relationship they have it is plain knowledge that it is not a good idea to touch his stuff that too his music instrument. We were kids we touched others stuff but this is Supergirl Ahilya who is oh so wise. Not the same you see. Especially since she has zero knowledge of music or music appreciation. She should have known better or somebody should have known better.

As for me sounding like Gautama bhai LOL talking back the way Ahilya does or even talking as Ahilya does here is so irritating. She does things as she pleases with her own logic whether it is keeping Renu in her room or presenting bhog to God in ordinary vessel. She argues and gives her two cents on everything quoting her own father who deserves a few slaps too for a lot of things he has dished out . Gautama “deserves”another thread it is too big to write here LOL . But while Gautama is another piece of work this is about Ahilya and her weird logic. So yes she does answer back but I am not mentioning the times Gautama shuts her up when she tries to give explanation or when Khanderao troubles her. And certainly not because she is a girl. If you notice Khanderao who is a spoilt brat does not answer back anyone even though he is a boy. So this not about a boy or a girl. Gautama is a piece of work but Ahilya is more than a handful to anyone.
