And I don't mind this sort of liberty by CVs as long as Ahilya's character don't get ruined. And also I don't think Ahilya going to Durbar and speak her mind out or rather wanting to do stuffs what her husband do is much of a big dissapointing factor compared to other historical disappointments shown in others hit historical shows throughout the years. And there its not been criticized much cuz those are all about male rulers and warriors and those characters were being played by famous tv stars. All were actually shown superman and their heroines were all an epitome of ideal wife unlike Ahilya as shown in Sony.
@Red- You have watched the show very seriously IMHO. Touching other's thing means Khander Rao's stuff I guess. What is cunning about that and that too for a 10-12 year old girl?
You are speaking like strict Gautama Bai who thinks counter answering is a serious offence being a woman.
💯
Completely agree with everything you've said.
Although this show has many plotholes and is moving in a snail's pace, yet it still is much better than some historical shows made previously.
And commiting mistakes is very natural and quite expected from a nine year old. A proper journey of the protagonist's charater is always appreciated. That's why I didn't mind those scenes where Ahilya was playing Khanderao's mridang, because probably in our childhood( when we were 8/9) we also had touched others things without their permission.
But what I dislike in this show is the glorification/ignorance of Ahilya's mistakes. Like after the drama of Khanderao's vachan, when Ahilya ran away at night, Malharrao scolded Khanderao in front of his inlaws( and rightfully so, considering Khanderao definitely made a blatant error). But he didn't say anything to Ahilya for the foolishness she committed, which could have risked her life. This disappointed me, I would have liked it if Malharrao showed Ahilya her mistakes as well.
