hey guyz!!!!!!

hope everyone is all gud n happy!...😛..well all of us must like or be proud of being punjabi cuz then we wouldnt be in this channel..but does it bother u when ur relatives or friends rebel or change things about themselves so that they arent noticed as "punjabi/indian"..u know like the way they talk or dress..or even talk/feel about being punjabi in front of other ppl?.....😊

it does bother me a lil bit especially because those types of ppl dont even try or noe wat its like to be punjabi...its awesome n im totally proud of it..but when ppl make fun of their own culture/religion..or disrespect it for that matter..it relli bothers me..plz reply n share ur views.....😛

great post yeah it bothers me but my family is mostly tradional but like my friends when they start acting all modern and doing some things that are just a shame it bothers me that they don't keep their punabi values in check
i love being punjabi and to those that think that they need to change themseleves are just a shame to punjabi's 😃

Great post karen.... Well i think people want to fit in with everyone else like when they go Uni for example.. and mostly they would speak english and the tone of their voice will change a little... maybe slightly post which i have noticed here like with my cousin when he talks on the phone to someone lets say a gora he would sound soo posh and if he would talk to us in english it would be all relaxed and everything.. i mean theres nothing wrong about is normal english... i have no idea why people do that.. maybe to impress them or what ever but even still its changing na... an it does bother me in a way....

At uni with my friends we mostly speak punjabi most of the time we just have jokes etc an its fun but theres some who are embarrassed, i dont think ive ever been embarrassed of speaking punjabi or hindi for that matter. the worlds totally changed from what it was i think people just dont bother these days because their parents speak english and everything and their children will start also... my chachas kids are soo like that when ever they come here they try n speak punjabi but when they go back they forget... parents neet to help in that....

About the feeling punjabi as i said the times changed and mostly people work for big companies etc an make themselves posh n that side takes over their life... well about 20 years from now it will get even worse i would think... for some people anyway... so just have to be strong on ur own i think... and not really bother about other people because they would do what they want to na... 😛

^^ ya true its their life n stuff..but when ppl start talking crap about religion or our culture..n they are punjabi too thats makes me soo mad..like i know ppl who wont go to gurdwaras cuz they think its dirty..or wont eat langar n stuff...n it just makes me sooo mad 😡
