Thats so awesome! How do you celebrate it- is it like a really grand festival or mostly simple? I seriously want to celebrate it...after all the research I'm basically in love with the festival!

for the farmers,its a big festival,mostly in villages

in urban places we wil celebrate in homes

with sugar canes

morning we wil put rangoli outside the house

then within 7'o clock we prepare pongal nd present it sun god

we wil shout pongal o pongal

WOW! That sounds really cool! Especially the Rangoli- isnt it like really hard to make! I cant even draw in normal life...with rice flour is a different thing all together :D

Cool- I would seriously love to do that!! Over here in australia one of my mums friends is Tamil and on Pongal she held a small Rangoli competition. My mum literally made a small star and came home saying that she could not make Rangoli to save her life 😆

But my mums friends Rangoli was so pretty! It came to her natrully...
