Reading this masterpiece while listening to Arijit Singh's Saware(Phantom) and K. Mohan's Ove Janiya(Katti Batti) made me 😭

AMAZING!!!

thank you so much Chikcyy! I loved your comment and I'm touched by how deeply it resonated with you. Here is a šŸ¤— for the tears... Yes a family shattered by the fear and uncertainty of illness, brought back together by their deep love and need of healing was the idea... I shed a few tears writing it too...

thank you so much Lisoo! I can tell from your expression just how much you loved the OS and I'm thankful and touched. Especially by your praise of it being better than the movie. I hadn't read the book or seen the movie but I read the plot and saw the trailer. But yes it's a horrible place to be in watching your loved one suffer so much that you'd choose death for them...

Could have been title a mother love and ultimate
sacrifice. They were living in a prison of their making, but what to do when your child is
very sick.

Aarti is a mother and any mother would do anything to save her child. However,
in the process she forgot to shower love on her second much alive, in need of a
break child, Payal. The eye opener was so painful when she overheard father and
daughter talk.

Yash could not deny his wife wish to conceive to save their baby, despite the
consequences, even though he too wanted to save Palak, but realizing over the
years that the family was breaking and Payal needed to expand beyond being a
donor. He tried to maintain the peace but maybe he should have confronted the
situation with his wife. However, I do like how he was there for her when she
finally broke down. He knew one day it would happened and was ready to help her
come to term with it.

Palak despite getting a reprieve from her sister she dearly loves, is not happy
at this half-life and realizing that her baby sister life has to be about her
for a change. And able to make light of a very dramatic situation.

Payal: rebellious and
trying to make her mother sees her. Her act serve as a catalysis for Aarti to
realize how badly she messed up but her deep fears change the direction of
their lives.

At least they were able to be a family, for the first time, reconnect,
therefore all the sacrifice were not made in vain. Palak gift before she left was to
bond mother and daughter, because they would need each other dearly once she's
gone. All Payal needed was Aarti soothing motherly touch and words to fill
complete and not just a by-product to serve her sister. Of course, she loved her
sister and gladly help her but the family needed to also open to each other and
accept each other, faults and doubts and hope. The laughter at the water resonated
with Palak who could peacefully let go and Aarti was able to make the ultimate heart
wrenching motherly act, end her beloved daughter suffering.

I take back the ccc comment about not happy Aarya (although I was
rethinking it, with the ending), this is about life, shade of grey, human
emotion, fears, desperation and indeed how some choices can hurt the people you
love the most. But it's never too late to
rectify mistake or seek forgiveness.

Again I love this, it was different, captivating but mostly poetic.

thank you so much Sassie Sauce... 😃 It's a sad fact that children with special needs siblings are neglected by their parents; in this case the special needs child was terminally ill and her illness was the direct result for the other's existence. Aarti never really got away from the moment she was told of Palak's illness. She was completely focused on her care that she developed a tunnel vision. And yes Payal's pain from her rejection finally opened her eyes to the consequences of her actions. She underwent a mindshift until she was finally able to perform that one last act of selflessness for her daughter. Yash was frustrated from time to time but you are right about his conduct... Now the remaining three can finally move on and start healing because Palak ensured that they should...
