The worst thing in the world for a mother is to see your child suffering and in pain. Especially since in this instance it was all she had left.

Still calling call out to her husband and love in the time of need He promised to still be there for her no matter what. And that moment she need him to be there. But more than that she need a tangible touch. She needed more that the person in her minds eye, she needed someone real.

The same with him, he was a healer, but couldn;t do anything for the one he loved. And now this day brought back so many memories of pain and loss. So much so that it was debilitating. So much so that he need her, the only one that to that point could give him that push, the encouragement that he needed to continue to live and not just survive.

And when they saw each other, they understood that they were kindred spirits. He was the touch, the embrace that she needed to get through yet another ordeal on this day. She was what he need to give him the courage to do what he needed to save a life.

Yes, he said that he would save her son, but i don;t think it would have mattered who it was that was on operating table, he need her to know that he was well able to perform his duties.

Now they would no longer need Arpita and Prashant. They had lead them to the people that they had meant to share their life, body and soul with for the rest of their lives.

Loved this as on intro. It was truly emotional and tender and most of all hopeful. It seemed that they had lost love, but they are on the brink of gaining a deeper everlasting love but a love that does not detract from their first love at all.

Everything in its season.

So beautiful.

You know what! More than posting the chapter of any story, I enjoy reading the comments. And if that comment is something like this then I'm on cloud nine . Comments like is is what makes my stories more memorable for me. 🤗

You all have the ability to read my characters so well.

Ansh is fighting for his life. All Aarti need is the support of her husband. Which she has as He is there with her in Spirit. But more than that, she needs to be held, she needs to be assured that Ansh and everything will be alright. Yes she has Aman and Ishita, but she needs more than them. She needs him.

Losing Arpita, Yash has lost all confidence. He knows he can save Ansh but he don't trust himself, especially on this very day.

One look at each other and they know... In their heart they know... Aarti knows that he is the one that can hold her and take away all her pain and sorrow. Yash knows that she is the inspiration that he needs, she is the one whom he needs to protect and care for all his life.

How will they fall in love and profess their feelings when they still love their deceased spouses, who were their everything is what this story is all about.

Thanks so much Bee for being my reader and my supporter 🤗

What a bittersweet tale of past hurt and new hope; a tragedy that results in a new dawn. Although the subject is painful there's a layer of hope, of faith, and of light despite a dark time...

Shadows of the past... A thought occured to me when I thought of this title... Shadows normally fade in darkness, they are only around during the light. Yet here we have shadows that appear during the darkest phase, an oxymoron of sorts... But then I got to thinking, these shadows bring light during the dark, they bring hope, they give the courage to grap onto the present for a better future... Yes they are shadows because they bring light yet remain in the background until they are no longer required, hence they eventually fate...

They brought them together and left but I'm sure their shadows will still linger until AarYa accept their new reality and not to search for their first loves in each other, even then they would still linger as sweet memories...

Aarti must have been so distraught to see her son in that condition. In that one moment she really needed her love, she needed his support but he had been reduced to nothing but a shadow. Then she realizes that this tragedy took place on the very date she lost him, is history repeating itself?

Yash had lost faith in himself as a Doctor. If he could not save his wife, what good was he as a doctor? Yet on the very day he lost her he is called to save a life, one of an innocent child. It's like he is given a second chance to do what he couldn't before... Still why on this particular date?

Because this one incedent is the precedent for the rest of their lives. Both have love and lost but it was necessary to bring them onto each other's path. They have that pain to heal and yes now they can be each other's balm... Now that they realize they are each other's soulmates they have to embark on this journey of new discoveries, and yes new love for each other and their angels.

Another symbolism I noted: rain. On the date they lost their first loves, rain served as a distruction. When Ansh got injured it served as a distruction too, only this time it was a blessing in disguise. Yes the rain is known to destroy but it destroys to bring about new life, new blossoms, new fragrance... And here too it destroyed in order to signal a new life.

As I said, beautiful Didu, very heartfelt! ❤️

Oops! I forgot to add that just like in the show, Aaman is the one bringing AarYa close to each other. Interestingly he is paired with Ishita, that's a first. Will be a treat to read 😛

Now hurry your alien brain! 😡

I had to reply on this before I went to sleep.

What you said about Shadows and their symbolism in here is ⭐️
Tess, like I mentioned in my reply to Mario that comments from all of you is what makes my stories more better and memorable for me.

But you girl are something else. More than me, you can read my characters and their circumstances so well. It's like I paint and you put colors in that painting with your mind blowing, analytical skills. That my friend is one feat of yours that always makes me so envy of you. But then I feel proud also to have you as my friend and as my reader.

Do read my reply to Bee as it will answer some of her points in your comment.

These Shadows won't make that many appearances but they will be there till Yash and Aarti accepts each other from their heart. This story is not about erasing the memories of the lost ones and move on in life, but this story is about creating new memories and keeping old memories intact and fresh.

Unlike first chapter and next two chapters, the whole story will be sweet with no main villains. Their kids and Yash's family will help them to come closer.

You and Sassy mentioned Rain playing a big part in their lives. Truth is that I wrote this as an OS for rhe contest in which one of rhe themes was "Rain" so I had to show rain as a major factor in this. That time I had not planned to make it an SS so rain took a backseat. But after reading yours and Sassy's comments I'll have to think in this direction.

Like I said there won't be any main villain so Ishita is a nice person in this story. Aman and Ishita will have important part to play. Similarly the driver of the car, with who's car Ansh got hit, is also an important character in this story. Can you guess who could he be?

I don't knew when I will reveal his identity and his relationship with Aarti.

Once again Thanks so much Tess for Everything ❤️

This is such a Flamboyant Story yeah its emotional and heart wrenching at the same time yet its soulful too
Aarti and Prasanth were happy in their life while Yash and Arpita too were happy in their so when both Aarti and Yash lost their loved ones on the same day both could not live their life with their guidance and comforting words
on the death anniversary on Prasanth and Arpita Ansh too has an accident also on a rainy day while Yash and Aarti meets for the first time and it seems as if they have connected instantly

😃Interesting, promising, now how do you expect us to wait after such a wonderful begining.😕
The concept is really intruiguing, spirit of lost love helping their lonely better half to move on with their life. Oh and destiny irony, Ansh accident is the same day Aarti and Yash have lost their love, and a new begining for them. Rain😕 has been terrible for them , it is bringing bad memories to the surface and making them see their love. So hard to see their pain and struggle. Aman, Ishita, the friends who brought them together Yash and Aarti and Prahant, Arpita are the guardian angels that guiding them.
Their meeting was sweet despite the heaviness of the situaton and fear for the hurt boy but also confusing, because of their unexpected attraction to each other. It was all so simply done and beautifuly describe.
Looking forward to the next chapter.

Your very first line
Sorry about that Sassy . I'll try to work on it as soon as I'm done with MTB. As this story is sort of a different one.
I don't believe in spirits and all. So the question is are those spirits real?
Before you get confused, yes Prashant and Arpita both died in that accident and yes Yash and Aarti do see them. Actually when the become bit friendly they will have a conversation on this topic.

Like I mentioned in Tessa's comment that I had submitted this as an one part OS in the last years OS contest. One of the themes was Rain. That's why I had shown Rain as an significant thing. But later when I decided to convert this into SS, I didn't think that Rain would be that significant.
Surprisingly, couple of you have noticed it and mentioned it so I'll have to think regarding this. The thing is I have already written the chapter where they will finally become one, Body, Mind and Soul. Now I'll have to add rain in the mix.

After reading your comments I realized that it's true. They lost their loved ones in rain. Ansh met with an accident in rain and because of that they met, so that mean rain is significant and symbolic.

Thanks for mentioning it. I'll definitely think about it and try to incorporate in the story 🤗

Thanks Chikcy.

Tragedy is what took their loved ones from them. Now tragedy is what brought them in front of each other. One is others courage, other is ones hope.

In this story there won't be any main villain. Whatever negative characters will come, they will make only a short appearance. This story will mainly focus on how Yash and Aarti will come close without forgetting and erasing the memories of their beloved exs. 😳

What a start. I could only imagine what Aarti felt like seeing her son in such a condition. I liked that Yash and Aarti had their significant others urge and guide them forward when they have been alone and I liked that they were pushed together to face yet another accident on this date. Great job as always.
