Sass, what l love about KC is that we fast for our husbands.

I know some people say that it's regressive to fast for husbands long life and good health whereas the husband doesn't do anything for his wife.

I can't say about all husbands, but till date whatever my hubby has done for me, one day of fasting for him is NOTHING in front of that.

And that's why this day makes it all rhe more important to me.

There are some fasts that a mother keeps for her son. A woman who don't have any sons and have only daughter/s is not allowed to do that fast.

Now that is one fast that I don't like as I find is gender biased and 🥱

We fast too but it is not prescriptive. Sometimes our church calls a fast and we can decide how we want to do it.

One year my best friends and i decided to fast for our husbands and we fasted every Wednesday for that year.

I think Mr. B is going off the rails again so I think I need to do it again. 😆

Yes Mario, that's why I hate it. My mother has only daughters so she was not allowed to do it whereas my aunts could do it. I think one of the aunts of my father told my mother to do it as every child is rhe same. But my own grandmother stopped her from doing it,
