Thank you so much Zee. We are heading for the end so the redemptions is near. Both have demons to face to move ahead and give their daughter the family she deserves. 😳

I was shock to see Aarti and Paridhi father reappearing and it explained so much, Aarti fears of Yash rejecting their daughter and Yash mother issues. I love the girls closeness with their stepfather , Bauji is the voice of reason. And it look like Yash has done some growing up. 😲wonderful update

They both are growing and need to open up. So much love, but the burden of fear and hampers a fulfilling life. And no, they can;t resist each other😆.
I always wanted to show her father reappearing for her healing. But .'the father of their heart" will always be SJ.
Thanks Sassy

Poor Yash his mom was everything to him and that love blinded him ot everything around him; so much so that he resented radha and her daughters relationship with his dad, and lashed out calling them goal diggers.

Update soon B 😆

His mom's parenting was pretty selfish but he was too close to the situation to recognize it, But there will be enlightenment soon😳

They can then give their daughter the loving family she deserves.

Chapter 7

It was just over a week after the incident with her father that Yash was sitting in the bedroom working on his laptop.

"Yash" she said.

"Yes" he said without turning around.

"Are you busy?"

"Yes, but it's not urgent."

"I ... I have to go and help Ma in the kitchen. Would you mind watching Payal for a little while?"

He turned and around and looked at her, too shocked to respond.

"Please? I promise I won't be long and if she gets cranky I will come get her" she asked again.

He got up.

"Aarti ..."

"If you are too busy I completely understand. Actually never mind. You are busy." she said nervously and turned around with Payal still in her arms.

"Aarti, wait. You didn't even give me a chance to respond. I said it is not urgent. And of course, I will watch our princess. In fact it will give me the greatest pleasure to watch her" he said taking Payal from her. He was surprised but so happy. It was the first time that she asked him to take care of the baby.

She was still uncertain. This was not easy for her. She had just handed her whole world over to him. In fact the two of them were her whole life. She was absolutely bare now. If this goes wrong, she stood to lose everything. She walked to the door, opened it and turned back to look at them. His happiness was evident in his whole demeanour and it made her feel guilty for keeping his daughter away from him. He looked up at her and smiled. She kissed Payal on her cheek, very reluctant to go, but having to leave.

"Thank you, Aarti"

She nodded, swallowed the knot in her throat and went to help with dinner.

Everyone else in the family was happy to see Yash coming down with Payal in his arms and Aarti continuing to go ahead with what she was busy with. He sat down with her supper. Normally all the other family members wanted to hold her but they understood that this was a very important day for the father and daughter as well as husband and wife relationship.

"I can keep her while you eat, Yash" she said.

"No, I can hold her and eat." Now that he had her, he did not want to let her go.

"Are you sure."

He nodded and started eating, looking at his little angel every so often. Their parents shared glances at each other. Rhadha had to work very hard to keep her tears at bay. Pari and Aarti served and then sat down and ate with them. Aarti sat next to Yash and she took Payal's little hand and made kissy sounds at her, leaning over Yash, causing both Payal and Yash to smile. He looked at them both of them so adoringly. The family was enjoying a brand new, happier atmosphere. There was a hope for a bright future for Aarti and Yash as well as the whole family.

She had prepared Payal's bath while he was still holding her. She came to take her out of his arms.

"Let's give your pappa a lesson in how to bathe you my sweetie pie" She moved to the bathing station. It was a cabinet, changing area and bathing station in one. He just followed happily and a bit nervously. She undressed her and placed her in the bath. Payal loved the water and immediately started kicking in excitement, making little happy gurgling sounds. There was an easy bath' inside so she didn't have to hold her. She washed her gently while talking to her. Yash was hovering around to see what was being done.

"And now be prepared for the mother of all screams. Your daughter hates to get out of the bath." She lifted her and as expected she screamed blue murder.

"Aarti, let me hold her. She is upset. Don't let her cry like that." he said, clearly very disturbed by the commotion his daughter was creating.

"And then. Must she be in the bath all night? Or not get dressed. No, she will stop crying soon. She is just being a little prima donna, just like her Pari-aunty. Aren't you my princess?" she cooed to her.

He was becoming more anxious as she was massaging her with cream and then dressing her. Finally done, she handed her over to her anxious father. She calmed down as soon as she was in his arms and he started rocking her.

"See, daddy, your little drama queen is quite fine." He looked at as if still not convinced. He gently rocked her while Aarti cleaned the bathing station.

"It's time for her feed." she took her back and got ready to breast feed.

He started to leave as he normally did.

"You don't have to leave." she said.

"Are you sure?"

She nodded.

She sat on the bed and he sat next to them. He touched Payal's hand and she looked up quickly, for a moment letting go of her greedy grip on her mom's nipple. She grabbed his finger and continued her feed. He loved the intimacy of this. He looked at her. Her face was lovingly on their feeding daughter and she gently rubbed her head while she fed her. They briefly shared a look and smiled and looked lovingly back with so much love at their princess. Once Payal was done feeding, she gave her to him to bring out her wind. He followed her instruction closely.

"You think you will be able to help out when I go back to work."

"I would love to help out. But you don't have to go back to work."

"I do" she said a little too harshly.

"They looked at each other for a moment, the happy compromise broken.

"If it is what you want but it is not needed." he said with a gentle tone.

She was trying to make a change, so she didn't say anything. She had allowed him to be part of her daughter's life but she was not in a place yet that she could trust him to care for her and her daughter for the duration. Her mother trusted her father and look how that turned out. What if her left her. She wouldn't beg for money from him. Like her mother, she would stand on her own feet and see to her own child. She had learned early in her life that there were no guarantees in life. And then he made her realise the same about love. Opening up to the extent that she had was huge for her. But that was all she could do for now.

He could read what was going on in her mind. She allowed him a space in their daughter's life but she didn't trust him to take care of them. She didn't trust him to stick around and go the long haul. Her father has a lot to do with this but his past behaviour was the determining factor. How could she trust a man like him? A man that accepted her love and her innocence and used it against her. She was so desperate for his love that she came to him and gave herself to him even after humiliating and insulting her and her family. It stood to reason that she was wary and untrusting. To this moment he had not even said he loved her. He wanted to but he didn't know how. And he was scared. Scared that it was too late. Scared that his actions had done permanent damage. He didn't want to be like her father that had no part in Payal's life till she was an adult. He needed to be part of his daughter's life. He needed to be part of her life.

"Will you be ok with her while I go have a shower? I won't be long."

"Yes. Take as much time as you need. I will be here." She looked at him knowing that he was talking about more than her time in the shower.

*******

"I am not going. Diwali is family time. I want to spend it with my family. You and Bauji." she was adamant when the subject was broached a week later by her mother.

"Aarti, your and stepmother and father extended this invitation. Please, baby. We can spend the morning together and then you can spend the rest of the day there." replied Radha

"But Ma, I also don't want to go." Pari said.

"Paridhi, I think it is important that you give your father a chance. Get to know him. People change, sweetheart." their father said.

"I think bauji wants us gone to romance his wife" Prateek joked to lighten their mood.

It worked and they all laughed.

"Yes, that's right. Even I need some quality time with my wife. You four are always around putting a damper on things. So finally it will be my time when you are all gone." he said as he grabbed her and kissed his wife on the lips.

"Ji" she said shyly as she pulled away and looked down not able to face the children.

"Fine, I will go and if I don't like it. I am coming home right away. So keep your romancing to your room, ok?" Aarti teased.

"We will" said her father.

******

Aarti was welcomed by her stepmother, father and siblings. They were introduced to their paternal grandparents that pretty much gave them the cold shoulder. Yash and Prateek got a more hearty welcome especially when it was mentioned who they were. The Scindiya reputation went far and wide. They had even less interest in Payal and Aarti could see the annoyance on Yash's face. Her father never said much. The rest of the family seemed more excited to see them. Both he and Pari had brought sweet dishes.

Her sister Vidhi and brother Akash were very nice. They made them feel at home. She offered to help out in the kitchen and serving the guests. Payal was taken from one arm to the next. Everyone, but her father and grandparents wanted to hold her. She greeted them but she kept her interaction with them to a minimum. Yash and Prateek got along very well with Akash from the outset. They all seemed like brothers.

Eventually Payal got cranky from being passed from pillar to post. Aarti took her to Vidhi's room to feed her. Yash followed them as that was their routine now when he was around. Her feeding and Payal holding his finger. Then he would take afterwards and to get her winds out and normally she would sleep after.

"I will keep her with me when she sleeps" he said as she was handing her over. "I don't want her to wake in a strange environment on her own."

"Ok." she said and kissed her angel's cheek. He took advantage of that and gave her a quick, tender kiss. She was caught off guard and responded. She looked at him in surprise, then turned around and walked to the door.

She was even more surprised and embarrassed when she saw her step mother at the door.

She smiled broadly at them. Aarti walked towards the door. When she reached her stepmom she touched her cheek.

"You are so beautiful. You 3 sisters look so much like your father. Isn't it ironic that that the only son he has doesn't look like him?"

Aarti didn't say anything.

"Beta, you are so blessed to have a husband like Yashji. It's written all over your face how much he loves your daughter and you."

Aarti looked back. Yash was at the window singing to his angel and couldn't hear their conversation.

"Things are not what they seem, Choti-ma."

"Aarti-beta, I know what I am talking about. My marriage to your father was arranged. Your father's family was a huge step up for mine and that is why it didn't matter to them that he was divorced. But as soon as we were married, I realised why. He was not a nice man. He didn't treat me well at all. I am not telling you this to bad mouth your father. He had changed a lot and he is really trying very hard. But that was a different time. He only lived what he believed and what his elders taught him. When Vidhi was born, he wasn't happy either. When I was pregnant with Akash, I prayed for a boy. Thankfully it turned out that way, otherwise I might have been in the same boat as your mother. But even so my life with him and my in-laws were never easy. They expected a lot from me. And as your father is an only child, he was quite spoilt. I don't think anyone would ever have been good enough for him. I worked like a slave in the house. But in all of this, I grew to love this family.

Why am I telling all this? Not because I want to alienate you but to let you know that things happen the way it's supposed to."

"Yes Choti-ma, so everyone keeps saying."

"Aarti, you are part of this family. Part of Vidhi and Akash. And even your father and grandparents. Please consider that, and try at least to understand things from their perspective. They are strict traditionalists. My mother in law treated Rhadha and I as she was treated so she saw no wrong in that. And your father only knew what he saw from his father, as to how to treat his wife. And also the lack of value in a daughter. But in his heart of hearts he loves all his children "

"Ma, meeting us was your idea, not his right?"

"I have been asking for a long time and finally they agreed. That is a good sign to me. And Vidhi and Akash are so happy to have you and Pari in their lives now. Think of it this way beta, your mother turned out to be a successful business woman. And it seems she is happy with SJ-ji?"

"Yes, very happy."

"And you and your sister found your loves in that house too. So who was actually better off? Look at him beta. You can see on his face how he adores that baby, how committed her is to her. I wish ... Well my life is what is. I love my husband and we have two great children and now I have gained a 2 more daughters and a grandbaby. That is if you will agree to be part of our lives."

"You are a good person Choti-ma. And I already love Vidhi and Akash and even you, but I will have to work on a relationship with ... with him." She couldn't even call him father. For her, there was only one father in her life."

"That's all I ask beta."

After that she had an easier time at their home. She even invited them for supper after asking Pari if it was ok.

They got home and she could see her mother was a bit tense about how their day was. She went to her and hugged her and then bauji.

"I missed you."

"And now, Beta. Was it ok at your father's house?" he asked,

"I am at my father's house. But it was ok. I just missed you. That's all. Next time they have to come here. I am not spending another family day without all my family.

"Me too, said Pari" and the four of them hugged.

Yash and Prateek smiled at each other looking at their wives, so happy in their home with their parents.

"Now give my baby here, I missed her." Said her mother.

Later that night he had put Payal in the crib and she was sitting on the bed. He walked to the bed intending to get in. She got up and went to stand in front of him.

"What is it Aarti."

"Yash ..."

"What is it?"

She stood on her tippy toes and kissed him.

"I love you, Yash. I have always loved you. I have never stopped. Even when I thought I hated your I loved you. I don't expect anything back from you, I just want to know how I feel. And thank you for being a wonderful father to Payal. I am so sorry for keeping her away from you. I just didn't want her to feel the rejection I felt, but I can see how much you love her. That's all I wanted to say."

He didn't answer, he just walked away from her and went to stand on the balcony. She was didn't expect anything in return and now she felt as if she had placed him under obligation.

"Yash, please I didn't mean to upset you or place you under any obligation. I won't say it again if it makes you uncomfortable. I am not that young girl that wanted to force you into loving her. I just wanted to get that off my chest. It's too difficult hiding it. And there genuinely is no expectation." She turned around to go to bed when she heard the sobs. She turned back and walked to him.

"Yash?"

She turned him around to face her. She was baffled by this reaction.

"How can you still love me Aarti? How can you love me after everything I have done to you. After everything I said to you and about you and your family."

"I didn't choose to love you Yash. I just do."

"But even so, after everything that happened. How can you still love me? I have made your life hell."

"Since the day I met you loved you and it was my dream to be your wife and mother of your children. I should have understood then that because it was my dream it wasn't necessarily yours. I should not have expected you to love me because I love you."

"But that's just it Aarti. I love you. I love you so much. More than my life. And because I was grieving for my mother and because of my resentment towards your mother I couldn't acknowledge that. And I resorted to hurting you. I couldn't believe that you could just love me for me. No one had ever loved me that much, besides my mother. Or so I believed. And you gave yourself to me so beautifully and so freely, all of you, your love and your body. How can I live with myself knowing what I have done to you? How much hurt and humiliation I caused you. How can you forgive me for that?"

"Because I love you."

"Is it really that simple, Aarti?"

"No, I suppose it's not. I love you Yash, and I have forgiven you. But I have not forgotten everything. As I stand here, is still am afraid that you are going to hurl abuse at me. Accusing me and ma of all sorts of things. I am still not hundred percent sure that you won't leave us for a better wife, a better family like my father did. I don't know if I am good enough for you. I am still wondering if you will always see me as a gold digger. But I haven't stopped loving you and I will never."

He grabbed her and held her while he sobbed. She wrapped her arms around him as her tears flowed freely too. They stood like that for a long time, letting the waves of pain that they have been experiencing wash over them. Once he let go of her, her moved her away from him just enough to look into her eyes, recognising the same love, hope and joy reflecting in her eyes that he was feeling in his heart.

"I don't know how I am deserving of your love but I want it and I will work hard in the future to be better. To make up for everything. I promise. I will be the best the husband. I won't fight with you ever again. I love you so much"

She smiled.

"Never fight? I don't think I would like that?" she smiled.

"What do you mean?'

"Well, if you don't fight with me, then how are you going to make up to me?' she said with a naughty glint in her eyes.

"Oh" he said.

"Baby, we are both human and fallible. I don't expect you to be perfect. Both of us have to learn to deal with the past and move on from there. I don't expect perfection. Knowing you love me is all I need. Everything else will follow.

"I do. I do love you so very much."

"Actions speak louder than words, Mr. Scindiya."

"But after the baby?"

"Yash, she is 3 months old. It has been fine for a while now."

"In that case ..." he scooped her up and carried her to bed. He lay down next to her.

"I am so blessed to have you as my wife"

"And as your lover?" she challenged.

"Oh, yes for sure." he said and as he made sure that there was no doubt in that.

The following morning they were both so tired. Between lovemaking and Payals night feeds, they could barely wake up. So he decided not to go to the office.

They were lying down again when Payal was put down for her morning nap.

"Baby?"

"Hmm" she said her eyes closed, already starting to dose in his arms.

"It's not only you that I've hurt you know. I have hurt the whole family. Especially your mother. How am I going to make up for it?"

"Just apologise to them."

"I will but it just doesn't seem enough."

"They love you, honey. They understand."

"But I want to do something special for them."

"Oh, and you didn't do anything for me?"

"Excuse me. I have been giving you special treatment the whole night. You can still barely keep your eyes open. And I can't exactly do for them what I do for you."

She giggled.

"Send them on a vacation. Just the two of them. Sort of a honeymoon. They never went on one in all the years. It will also show that you accept that they are together as a married couple."

"Excellent idea. You are so clever. I think I will keep you." he teased.

"You had better." she said.

"I will prepare a nice meal for everyone and you can present your gift. When do you want to do it?" she said.

"Tomorrow night. But now for some special treatment." he said starting to unbutton her blouse.

Yash, you promised that I can sleep. Soon she will be awake and then I can't sleep again."

"I will look after her when she wakes up." he said nibbling in her neck.

"And can you breast feed?"

"You can feed and I will do the rest when you take your nap." he said his lips already starting to drive her wild.

"Ok" she breathed and he chuckled at how quickly she gave in to his seduction again.

B nice to see that Arti slowly but surely came around and allowed Yash to be vulnerable enough to ask for forgiveness and express his feelings of love. Great update. Very happy to see that ArYa have made up and are moving forward to create loving family memories with their angel.

Would love to get an update on Forced Love, anxiously waiting to see how that story is going to unfold. Please update this SS as well soon.
