Passionate combatants

The rain was pelting outside. But it was nothing like the storm that was raging inside this room. She could not believe it. This situation was worse than anything she could ever have imagined. They were in his office and she was standing looking out over the city. She was still only dressed in only her shirt. She was totally humiliated at what she had just done. She couldn't face the disgust and hatred in his eyes.

Once he was dressed, he reached for his wallet, took out his cheque book and wrote out the amount that she had asked him for, half a million pounds and threw it at her. It trickled down to the floor next to where she stood.

"You have what you want now. I must say you are good, very good. No one before you got me to pay for ... it. I totally fell for your innocent act. I wonder how you are going to get the next sucker."

She felt him walk towards her. She didn't know what to expect. She stood rooted to the spot. She was scared of him now. The rage inside of him was almost tangible. He whispered through clenched teeth, "Make sure that I never see you again."

She mustered to courage to turn around and said, "Please Yash if you will only let me explain. I love you"

He laughed humourlessly. "How stupid do you think I am? Do you think that I will believe any more of your lies? You are nothing more than a high class wh**e."

He slammed the door as he left her life forever. She sank on the floor and sobbed. She had just lost the love her life.

She woke up, tears streaming down her face. It has been a while since she'd had that dream. She wished that it was only a dream and not her reality. She looked at her little baby girl and her heart constricted with love. She was the image of her father. He had given her much more than that money. I have you and I have your granny and gramps. Four years later, she still could not forget him or stop loving him. The price she paid was worth it. She was back in India now, so she would probably never see him again, just like he wanted. She was content with her life now. But 4 years ago it was definitely not where she had envisioned herself, she thought, wryly.

Aarti Khurana was a confident, beautiful young lady. Her parents never had much money but they had so much love. For her and for each other. Shortly after Aarti was born, her father was in a motor vehicle accident and was incapable of working. Her mother started to make clothes to sell, to supplement the government disability pension her father received. Aarti was not home often, because she was at boarding school for most of her school career. She was extremely clever and always managed to get scholarships to the best private schools and the same for the college that she had attended.

She started an internship at Scindiya industries office in London. Because of her drive and ingenuity she was put on a FastTrack management programme after just a year. She spent long hours at the office because she simply loved her job. She also felt great being able to help her parents by sending money back to India. Aarti was a real romantic and believed in happily ever after because of the love her parents shared. The problem, however was that her parents were putting pressure on her to get married right now and she was not ready. She had managed to put them off so far but it was increasingly difficult. She could not say no them. That is why she had agreed to meet this guy tonight. She did not know much about him, she was merely e-mailed a picture of him and told her was a 28 year old business analyst and was settled in London for the past 5 years. His name was Amaan Khanna. She was I no mood for this as she had a new project and wanted to work on it some more tonight. That was one of her quirks. When she started something she was interested in, she could not stop till she completed it. She was a bit resentful that she had to go on date when she had something better to do. Oh crap, she was late. She grabbed her laptop and file and ran out of the office.

She practically ran out into the restaurant, quickly looking down at her clothes to check if she still looks ok. She knocked into something hard and the file fell out of her hand. "Sorry, sorry, so sorry" she said.

She immediately started to pick up her papers without even looking up. The rock that she ran into bent to help her pick up the papers scattered on the floor.

He saw the company logo on some of the papers and said, "Why are you bringing work files to a restaurant? If you are behind with the work you should be at work and not a restaurant. And you should look where are going."

Her head shot up and there was fire in her eyes. "Excuse me. What are you? The restaurant police. And what makes you think that I my behind with my work. Anyway I would rather be at the office right now instead of being at a restaurant, speaking to a brute like you." She walked off and gave a parting shot, "And besides, you bumped into me too, why don't you look where you are going."

Yash was still standing at her retreating back. He was not sure, if he should be mad or amused. No one ever spoke to him like that. He was intrigued by this girl. At least he knew where she worked. He saw that she was joining a young man that was about his age.

At 28 years of age, Yash Scindiya was the director at Scindiya industries. He worked hard and he played hard. His parents had sent him to run the London office as he was building up quite a reputation for himself in India. Not a good one. He preferred being here anyway because it was less constricted here. He was a very cynical man and he used women for his pleasure. He never had to work to get them, because they were all over him all of the time. He was independently wealthy, extremely handsome and had a hot body. From a young age he was groomed to take over the family business although he was the 2nd eldest. His father knew that his eldest brother did not have the ability to run the company as Yash would. And Yash proved this once again by making the London branch a great success in no time at all.

He knew it was expected of him to get married, but he really had no interest in it. All the women that he had experienced were only into his money or his looks. And all he was interested in were their bodies. However, he was very careful that there was no chance that they could get pregnant, he was not going to get tied down by a woman because of a child and he will not be extorted either.

So this experience at the restaurant with this woman, who was apparently one of his employees was completely foreign to him. He was pondering whether he should pursue this feeling. And who was this guy that she was meeting anyway. Yash was now really looking forward to going to the office tomorrow to find out more about this mystery girl.

Part 2

A few days later, Aarti was engrossed in her work at the office when she heard a vaguely familiar voice say, "Good morning Miss, Khurana." She looked up and had to think for a moment where she saw this man before. Then remembered and shot to her feet. "I don't believe we have been formally introduced." He extended his hand to her and said. "Scindya, Yash Scindiya." Aarti wished that the ground would open and swallow her in right then and there. This didn't happen often, but she was speechless. She just stood there in mortification. That night at the restaurant, she spoke to him so rudely. And ... and he was her boss. Granted her travelled a lot so he wasn't in the office often but she had seen pictures of him and she saw around the office from time to time, how did she not recognise him? Oh my, he is probably going to fire her now. She felt tearful and scared. No, no, in this day and age you couldn't fire someone for such a small thing she thought defiantly and besides it was after office hours. Or could he, she thought worriedly.

Yash stood watching the various emotions that was reflecting on Aarti's face and he wanted to laugh. Instead he said, "It is rude not to return a greeting, Miss Khurana."

"Good morning, s...sir." she said.

"I..."he started.

But he didn't have a chance as her mouth overtook her brain again. "The other night, I didn't know it was you. Anyway you were rude first. Are you going to fire me, because you can't you know? I won't allow it. I am a good worker. You can ask anyone. I wasn't behind in my work. I promise I wasn't, I just had the files with me because I wanted to finish what I started the morning. You can't just assume because a person walks around with files that they're behind in their work. You just can't fire me. Please don't fire me"

She looked up at him with the cutest expression. Her lips were quivering and he could see she was now close to tears. He just wanted to take her in arms and assure her that everything was ok. What the hell Yash, he scolded himself mentally. What is wrong with you?

Instead he said, "Are you finished. Can I speak now?"

She started to say something else but thought better of it and just nodded her head and looked down, waiting for him to continue.

"I hear that you that you are one of our best designers." What she didn't know was the he came in to the office the next day and found out everything he could about this mystery girl. He was pleasantly surprised to find out how good she was at her job. It's a pity she couldn't control her tongue he thought. And that brought a whole new set of thoughts to his mind. How he wanted to feel her tongue in his mouth as her devoured her full luscious lips. For goodness sakes Yash, you behaving like a sex starved teen. He continued, "I wanted to offer you the opportunity to work on one of our new projects. It is a big project and you will be working alongside a team of all our senior architects and engineers. It will be hard work and long hours. You will probably have to spend a lot of time away from your family, your boyfriend. Do you think you can handle it?"

Aarti was overwhelmed, this is the best news ever. "I can handle it. My family is in India and I don't have a boyfriend. I don't mind working long hours. Thank you, thank you sir." Without a second thought she stepped forward and hugged him. As she stood there, the realisation of what she was doing set in. Oh my freaking word, she thought. I am hugging my boss. What is wrong with me? He must be thinking I am a bumbling idiot. Wow, he smells so nice. His body felt so good.

She abruptly let go of him and as usual her mouth let her down, "Sorry sir. I was just so excited. I won't do it again. Even though you smell so good. Your body is very hard. You must work out. Oh my freaking word, did I just say that. Sorry sir, so sorry." And she ran off in the direction of the ladies room. She could hear the sound of his laughter following her. She was mortified.

He couldn't remember when last he laughed so hard. This girl was something else. She was so innocent. Her reactions were so spontaneous and her mouth, well it seems that she just couldn't control it. He would like to control it for her. And she didn't have a boyfriend. This thought gave him a strangely happy feeling. He felt the stirrings in his body when she hugged him. He body was so soft against his. She smelled divine. But of course it was only sexual attraction. Yash Scindiya did not have any other feelings for members of the opposite sex. And he wouldn't act on it as he never got involved with employees and business associates. And she didn't look as if she was attracted to him at all. Why the hell was she not? Most of the other women he came into contact with would drool over him instantly. But this one was more interested in retaining her job. Was he losing his touch? He decided not to explore the thought that her lack of interest bothered him as he made his way to his office for his next meeting.

Part 3:

It was 2 weeks into the project and the team were discussing a particular issue that they were having with the structure of the shopping mall that they were designing. Aarti was a bit overwhelmed by the expertise and wealth of knowledge around her. She has learnt so much from these people in such a short time. They accepted her in their fold and didn't mind mentoring the newbie. She was sure that it was because she was put on the project by the boss himself. She didn't see him again after that incident. She still blushed when she thought of it. Apparently he had flown back to India that same day. For some strange reason she was disappointed that he wasn't around. But anyway he didn't lie. This was hard work and long hours. The client was very difficult and had some crazy ideas that they had to work around, so this project was very challenging. As she was the newbie, her job was also to make sure that there were refreshments and she had to arrange for take-out whenever they worked late. She didn't mind at all. She was just happy to be part of the team.

It was about 10pm and she was alone at the office. Their strat session had ended only about half an hour ago and as the others left she had decided to clear the boardroom of their dinner items as they had to meet there again first thing in the morning. She was busy washing the dishes when she felt she was no longer alone. She wasn't afraid as the smell was familiar. Her heart beat a little faster. She has never experienced this before so clutched onto the sink for a little control as she looked back at him.

"I have been away for only two weeks and you have been demoted to cleaning lady. Was I wrong about your abilities, Miss Khurana."

"I am well able Mr. Scindiya, to do a very competent job and to wash dishes. Multi-skilled is what you call it. I would have thought that you would appreciate that in an employee."

He came closer. She was still standing with her back towards him and clutching the sink. And thank goodness for that as her knees were feeling weak now. His body touched hers as he leaned over her to get the cloth to dry the dishes. What was happening to her?

He started drying the dishes. "Sir, you don't have to do that."

"Oh I see, you want to be the only one that is multi-skilled." He said continuing what he was doing.

"No, it's not that. You are the boss."

"So, you know that I am the boss. It certainly didn't seem like that when you were busy telling that I couldn't fire you,"

She blushed.

Dammit, why did she have to be so cute? He was supposed be in India for the month to finalise a major contract that his father wanted him involved in, but he rushed everything and all the necessities were done. He told his father he could do the rest from London. With modern technology, you could do pretty much do anything from anywhere. Except be in the presence of the lovely Miss Aarti Kharuna.

"So how was is the project going", he asked.

Instantly she rambled on and on about the progress and the challenges of the project. She was chatting so excitedly and so animatedly that he did nothing but listen to her. Occasionally nodding his head and making an acknowledging sound. He used to be so passionate about his work, but it has been a while since he had that feeling. She totally fascinated him.

"By the way what are you doing at the office so late?" she asked when her rambling finally came to a halt.

I have a meeting tomorrow morning and I came to fetch a file in the office." It was the truth but he could have fetched the file in the morning. Something compelled him to come the office even though he knew it was late and no one would be there.

"Why didn't you just fetch it early tomorrow morning?" she said as if reading his thoughts.

"Because I wanted to fetch it now. Does Miss Khurana have a problem with me coming to the office when I want to? After all I am just the boss."

"No of course not, I just meant that you must be tired from the long flight."

"Actually I am tired." He said, finally giving in to his fatigue. He has been so busy rushing to get things done that he had very little rest and of course, his friends wanted him to go and party with them as well as they hadn't seen him for a while, so in fact he was very tired.

They were now sitting at the kitchen table and she saw the fatigue on his face. She got up and instinctively went to him and started the massage his shoulders.

Yash stiffened and then started to relax. Her hands felt so good. She continued talking. "I always massage Mom's shoulders when she is tired like this and it always makes her feel better.

It did make him feel better. He was relaxed now and relishing her hands on his shoulders, his neck, his back and he started having a very different feeling. Before he could control himself he grabbed her hand pulled her onto his lap and kissed her. He saw the initial shock on her face and for a moment she was unresponsive. Then she started kissing him back. Her response matched his passionate attack on her mouth her and neck. He nibbled at her earlobes. Her ardent moans only spurred him on. Before they knew her blouse was open and he was kissing and nibbling at her naked breasts. She had never felt this before and she was helpless. She moaned in pure ecstasy. Her hands of its own volition unbuttoned his shirt and she imitated his actions. Her mouth was all over his hot hard torso. They were in another world when Yash suddenly realised that there was someone in the office. The night cleaner had arrived. He stopped and moved away from her. She was coming out of her haze of passion when she realised that she was standing in front of her boss, exposed. She turned away from him to make herself presentable. Tears of shame now rolling down her face. What had she done!

He came close to her and said "Aarti..."

She turned and around and pushed him and said. "Leave me. Have you no shame. I know all about you. I am not one of those floozies that you associate with. Was this why you gave me the opportunity to work on this project. To get into my pants. Well I am not that type of girl, Mr. Scindiya. I will not be taken advantage of by the likes of you. You disgust me."

He too was now furious. "Oh I beg to differ Miss Khurana. You are the one that started this thing. Don't think I don't know the wiles of your type. Wanting to snag a rich man with your innocent act. I was not taking advantage of you. You were enjoying every moment of it. Who unbuttoned my shirt and was kissing me all over with such passion. Don't make as you are a victim here. You wanted this just as much as I did! So what type of girl does that make you"? Everything was said in furious whispers. Now they stared at each other in total fury.

When she regained her composure, Aarti ran out of the kitchen, grabbed her bag in the boardroom and ran to get a taxi home.

Neither of them got much sleep that night.

He tossed and turned in his huge bed wondering how it was possible that he lost control so completely and that with one of his employees no less. He was always in control. Why the hell did he not stay in India? This girl was messing with his head. Well this was it. No more. He would stay as far away from her as possible. Dammit, he was so tired and because of her, he could not sleep.

How could she do that? And with her boss. She never even kissed a boy before. She felt so ashamed. She wanted to leave this place, be back with her parents. But she couldn't. She couldn't afford to go home. She had to stay, but how was she going to face him again after what happened. How? Aarti cried till she eventually fell asleep in the early hours of the morning.
