Chapter Nine Part B

Back at Bopal both families sent across the photos, and horoscope of AarYa , now the problem for the Scindhias was how to get Yash to look at the picture, while at the Dubeys were how to convince a reluctant Aarti, and get her to look at the photo.

Scindhia Mansion

Suraj speaking to his family members minus Yash, and the kids " Prateek you did us a huge favour by convincing Yash to agree to his re marriage, now I will have a talk with him and show him Aarti's picture; now what I need from you all are support, and your prays that he do not back down from this decision" all were having their evening tea sitting in the family room. Pankaj,Vidhi and Prateek were in agreement with their bauji, all they wanted was Yash's happiness G3 was not in favour of his marriage to a girl who was married before and has a child by another man she did not like Aarti because she thought that the girl was a used secondhand woman.

Maya was observing everything closely, her self talk bhayia did not accept Ishita, but he easily accepted this widow and her child, I will make their lives hell, he refused to allow me to remarry am I not a widow also?? Yash returned home just before dinner he wanted to discuss something with his Aripta, they had been back home for two days and he still have not told her about his decision to remarry he was a bit apprehensive that she will not understand after all they had promised to be together for eternity; now he will be giving her place as his wife to someone else even if it is a marriage of convince, a loveless relationship, the woman would be here physically present in this house with our family, the girls will call her mother, so I wont have a physical relationship with her but she will share our room our bed. How can i expect any woman to see her husband with another woman?? My beautiful Aripta will never accept this, she never understood my love for my family always asking me the same question why do you love them more than me?? Your wife should be the one you love the most, after all I am the mother of your children, your life partner, we took the seven holy vows around the sacred fire we belong together. Maya waited close to the entrance of the house, she wanted to know the moment Yash returned home so she could stealthily follow him she wanted to see for herself what would be his reaction to the picture.

Maya knew different she knew he felt guilty about this marriage and breaking Aripta's trust, and she will find away to use this guilt, her self talk If he cannot get married to Ishita betie then I will not allow him to be happy with anyone else, especically some middleclass woman with a child.

"Yash beta you are home come here I want to talk to you" Suraj called out to his son "Lets sit and talk we have not done this in a very long time, Ramdulire bring tea and snacks for Yash" continued bauji Yash was too tired to disagree sat next to his bauji and looked at him with tired, dead eyes. Suraj felt a wave of sadness rush over himself looking at his once happy, a bit naughty son who was so full of life, and love to give everyone." Suraj was shocked by his son's answer his self talk my boy is not a rude individual, this Aripta situation is having a negative effect on my boy, when she was alive G3 had her so spoilt I never said anything against because I belive that saas controls their bahus, look what it lead too Aripta imposing her ways on my boy! Yash got up looked at his father said "Goodnight bauji I am very tired, please inform ma that I don't want any dinner" and he went to his room and locked the door.

At the Dueby's House

"Shoba we have to tell Aarti the truth about Prashant" said Dubeyji "I know Ji but I am afriad for my daughter how would she react" answered Shoba 'We are both here for her Shoba together we will make her understand, you do agree she needs to move on in life for herself and Ansh, for how long Shoba will we continue like this keeping her in the dark about Prashant and his motive for marrying her, why he abused her and left her, she deserve to know the truth." expounded Dubey ji

" I deserve to know what Ma, Bauji" asked a cruious Aarti who came with a tray of snacks, and tea for her parents who were sitting in their back garden " Well are you not going to tell me?" she enquired with a smile she loved these two people who meant the world to her, they are her parents they may not be realated by blood but there is a stronger bond of pure love, and respect.

Deep down in her heart she had suspected the truth but her brain refused to accept the reality, she was so afraid that if she accepted her suspicions and they became her reality she would lose the home she found with the Dubeya, the love she had for them, and the love they in turn returned to her and Anash would be savagely snatched from her. Shoba became scared when Aarti continued to remain quiet she too both of her daughters hands in hers gently rubbing them. Bauji asked "Beta are you okay here have some hot tea " giving Shoba acup to fed their daughter he was just as frightened as his wife. Why did he spoil my life??" she continued her un controllable crying she continued "Why God Why me?/ everyone leaves me they don't love me , my parents left me at the orphanage when I was a few hours old, Prashant fooled me into beliving that he cared that I am special worthy of love he lied ma he lied!!" there was more crying this time her entire body begun to shake, the Dubeys were frightened by her reaction but they held on tightly to their daughter rubbing her back, her hands wiping away her tears when she finally stoped crying.

"Beta are you ok?" asked bauji "Yes bauji I am OK I need some time then I will leave here with Ansh don't try to stop us" she said in a clear voice "WHAT!! Dubey ji wanted to shake some sense into his child one way or the other how dare she think she can just take Ansh and leave and go where to an uncertain future! "Beta we received a proposal for you from a good family, they are wealthy but they need a wife for their son his wife died three years ago and he has two small daughters they need a mother to love, and guide them Ansh will have a family a papa to love, and protect him. Later that evening the Dubeys called the Scindhias and said Aarti agreed G3 responded that Yash agreed but she want them to keep Ansh with them not allow him to live with his mom and her new family because they want a mother for their grand daughters and a wife for their son that Ansh would be in the way. G3 did not realise that Yash,and Suraj heard her conversation "GAYTRI!! WHAT NONESENSE ARE YOU SAYING!!" shouted Suraj startling Both G3 and Shoba "ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND!!" he continued walking up to her Yas said "MA HOW CAN YOU THINK SO LOW!! " he was angry at his mother's selfish behaviour he also walked up to his parents "YOUWANT HER TO LEAVE BEHIND HER SON AND LIVE HERE TO TAKE CARE OF MY DAUGHTERS I WILL NOT ACCEPT THAT" G3 had never seen her so loose his cool before and she became frightened Shoba was at the other end of the phone conversation and she became very concerned "YASH cool down I wiil HANDLE it" said his Father "NO bauji If This Is The Way Ma Thinks then I will NEVER GET REMARRIED" Yash exploded. "I AGREED FOR THE BOY HE IS MY SON!! HE WILL LIVE WITH ME AND HIS MOTHER EITHER IN THIS HOUSE OR SOMEWHERE ELSE!! " GAYTRI you are being very selfish I am VERY DISAPPOINTED with you!" shouted Suraj and he took the phone from her "Namaste I am sorry you had to hear all that, but your daughter and grandson are welcome here they will be a part of MY FAMILY as MY Children. Yash and I agree for this marriage we will speak to the pundit and fix a date the sooner the better. Shoba surprise at the outburst said "OK we accept both the apology and the proposal, call us with the date for the engagement." "Ok I will be in touch with you tomorrow Shoba ji bye" said Suraj "Bye Scindhia ji" and replaced the phone she looked at her husband who was standing close to the phone and heard the outburst both thinking G3 will be a problem.
