AARYA FF:YEH RISHTA HAI JANAM JANAM KI
PART-1
It was one of the most important and awaited meeting in the scindhya event management. Every person in the conference room could feel the tension in air. The scindhyas were approached by foreign delegates to deal with international fashion event that was going to happen almost a year and a half later. The scindhya's outstanding work in the national award functions and events made the international delegates approach them with such a big offer. They were very much excited on one hand but on the other hand they were very much tensed. Suraj pratap scindhya and his eldest son pankaj went on explaining about their works and showed the delegates their vividly colored and instantly attractive designs. Once they had completed the presentation, the delegates asked them to wait outside and were discussing among themselves as the eldest scindhya and his son waited for their reply. After a long wait they were called in again.
Delegates:" Mr. scindhya, you know very well about our company. It is one of the leading companies in the whole world. It so happened that our boss attended on award organized by you. He was very much impressed with the arrangements and hospitality that he wished to give such a big offer to you."
Suraj prathap scindhya:"It's my honor that he liked our organization and yes I know this offer would be a life changing offer to our event management company. I'm just keeping my fingers crossed."
Delegates:" Mr.scindhya, we are very much impressed with the presentation you and son made today but we have a problem."
Pankaj:" What is it? Do you have any problem with our presentation or design? If you say we would make them better according to your wish.
Delegates: "No Mr.pankaj the designs you have made are almost perfect. Right from simple weddings to the grand award functions you have fulfilled all the wishes of your costumers. In fact you have made the right thing of getting the feedback of your costumers in written forms. Those remarks itself says about your hard work and dedication towards your work. The problem is not with your designs Mr.pankaj."
Pankaj:" Then what is it sir?"
Delegates: "Actually this event is not sponsored only by our company. We have a lot of co-sponsors. We need to speak with them too. If your company had a name on national level then it would have been easy to convince them. From your presentation we came to see that you have established a name for your company in the northern India. Since our event is only after one and half year, the contract signing would be after a year. If within this one year you could assure us that you will establish your company in the national level then we surely assure you that this event will be given to your company. We too don't want to lose such an event management company for such lame reasons. So what's your decision Mr.scindhya?"
Suraj prathap scindhya:" Sure sir we would surely establish our company on the national level. It is indeed a greatest challenge but we would accomplish it."
Delegates:" Then consider this offer yours. We would stay in touch with you and give you constant updates. Now we will take leave. Have a great day Mr.scindhya."
The delegates made their way out as suraj went to his cabin asking pankaj to follow him. Suraj asked him to pull a chair near to his chair as he opened the map of India on his computer.
Suraj prathap scindhya:" Pankaj we have already set up our branches in the whole of north India. We also have our branches in Bangalore and Kerala. So the only area left to cover is tamilnadu. We never established our branch there because there is a huge diversity between their culture and ours. But now it's a do or die situation. So we need to get ready to set our branch there too."
Pankaj:" so bauji can I pack my things and get ready to leave to Chennai?"
Suraj prathap scindhya:" No pankaj. You have already gone to establish the other branches leaving vidhi and vedhika behind. So I can't and I don't want to let you go again. So this time I have decided to make Yash go there. Also his friend aman and his wife arpitha are there only. They are well versed with their customs. They would help him. You don't worry. By the way where is he? I haven't seen him since morning"
Pankaj:" Bauji he is taking care of the minister's daughter's wedding. He would be back by evening. We will talk to him."
The minister's house was filled guests and was heavily decorated. However the people were getting tired and bored with marriage rituals. It was the time when they heard the popular Bollywood number hit their ears as a dashing man in a silver colored kurta started performing. Girls in the marriage hall started drooling over him and his killer looks sent shivers down their spine. Everyone started enquiring about him. His mere presence made the environment bright and cheerful. The way, he handled the problem and circumstances wisely impressed everyone in the hall. When the marriage was almost over middle aged woman approached him with a young aged woman.
Middle aged woman:" Hello Mr.yash. I'm very much impressed with your arrangement and the way you organized this marriage. This is my daughter lavanya. I know it's very fast but I feel you are the appropriate pair for my daughter. Also you are from the most influential family of Bhopal and we also match your status. If you give your consent I will proceed with the formalities."
Yash just smiled on the woman's word. It wasn't new to him. He had become accustomed to it. He start speaking" Aunty how did you decide to entrust your daughter's life to a stranger just by seeing him one day. I might be efficient but you know one truth I don't even like or trust the concept of marriage. I just want to enjoy my life to the fullest without any troubles in the form of wife or children. See even now I'm talking what I feel is correct without even respecting your age. Appearance is always deceptive aunty. So what do you say now aunty?"
The lady just gave a stern look at him as she left that place along with her daughter. Yash smiled on seeing how the woman stormed out of the place with her daughter. He then completed all the work that were left pending and left to home after the couple left to the groom's home. By the time he reached home it was almost evening.
When he entered his home he saw his father at home. It was very much early for his father to be at home. He knew they had a meeting with the foreign delegates. He tried to read what has happened from his father's expression but he couldn't understand anything from his expression.
Yash: "Bauji what happened in the meeting. Did we get the deal?"
Suraj prathap scindhya:" Yes yash the deal is made but under one condition."
Yash:"What is it bauji?"
Suraj prathap scindhya:" They said that the deal is assured for us provided that we establish our company in the national level."
Yash:" But our company is already established in the national level. We have our branches in almost every part of our country."
Suraj prathap scindhya:" Yes yash we have our branches in almost every part of the country except on part. Its tamilnadu and the main part of tamilnadu is its capital Chennai. It is also one of the four metropolitan cities. So we have decided to establish a branch there."
Yash:" Oh great idea bauji. So when is pankaj leaving to Chennai?"
Suraj prathap scindhya:" Pankaj is not going anywhere this time yash. I want you to go this time."
Yash:" Me bauji. I can't go there. I don't know anything there. I don't know their language, their tradition. How can I manage there? Pankaj already has experience on going to various parts of India for establishment. I'm a newbie to it bauji."
Suraj prathap scindhya:" Yash, aman and arpitha are there for you there. Moreover don't act too smart. Every year you stay in India for just six months and the next six months only god knows where you are. When you can manage in the foreign land where all the people speak alien language can't you manage in another Indian state? Yash all the feedback I received about the project you undertook are excellent. So I have full trust in you. When you can go for foreign lands just for the sake of enjoyment can't you go to Chennai for the sake of our company? Opportunity knows the door only once yash. We need to strike the iron when it is hot."
Yash:" but bauji I have many projects here how can I leave them halfway?"
Bauji:" You don't worry about it yash. Pankaj and I will take care of those. Why are you searching for reasons to avoid this trip? I don't want to hear any ifs and buts from you. I want you to go and it's final."
He then took the ticket and a pair of key that was kept on the table in front of him and handed it over to yash.
Suraj prathap scindhya:" This is the new flat I purchased in Chennai. You can stay there. All flights to Chennai are full so I booked you a ticket for early morning train tomorrow. Gayathri and vidhi help him to pack his stuffs."
Gayathri and vidhi immediately obeyed suraj's order as they accompanied yash to his room and started packing his stuffs.
Yash:" Maa atleast you tell na. I'm not interested to leave Bhopal. I want to stay with you all."
Gayathri:" Yes yash but we have no options. Pankaj can't leave behind vidhi and vedhika and your bauji is not allowed to travel long as his health condition doesn't permit it. So the only option left is you."
Yash:" Maa we can send bhabhi and vedhika also along with pankaj. I will take care of stuffs here. Please you speak to bauji na."
Vidhi:" That isn't possible bhaiya, vedhika has school here. Leaving the school here and searching and getting admission in another school that too in a metropolitan city like Chennai is very tiring."
Yash:" Then bhabhi you leave vedhika with me. I will take good care of her."
Gayathri:" Yash, don't talk about these stuffs now. You know very well that if your father takes a decision you can't change it how much ever hard you try. So it would be better if you accept the reality with a smile."
Saying so, gayathri completed the packing and took leave of the room along with vidhi. Gayathri reached her bedroom to see suraj reading a novel.
Gayathri:" Suraj ji, I want to ask you something. Why are you sending yash to Chennai even after knowing that he is not interested to go there. You never force anyone like it."
Suraj prathap scindhya:" Gayathri, you know I do everything with a reason. I'm very much proud of yash for his wit and efficiency in handling things but he is very happy go lucky. I want him to get a little more serious in life and somehow my intuition is telling me that this Chennai stay is going to teach him some lessons for his life. Just keep patient and we will see what happens."
He held her hands assuring that everything will be fine and they both drifted to sleep.
Next day yash got up early in the morning to catch the train and was overwhelmed to see his entire family awake to accompany him to the railway station. On reaching the station he took the blessing of his parents and hugged pankaj. He also exchanged his kisses with vedhika before he boarded the train. When the train was about to start he boarded it. The train started to move as his family waved their goodbye to him. He heard his mother's shout to call her once he reached Chennai. He smiled at her nature of remembering things at the last moment. He kept on waving to his family till they were out of his sight. He stood just near the door of the train enjoying the sceneries on the way and the swift morning air that was making him feel cool and refreshed not knowing what the future had kept in store for him in Chennai.
