Chapter Thirty Two (Part - 2)

Yash tried telling her that nothing of the sort would happen and she was capable of loving all the three children equally but Aarti was quite clear that she would not like to be the legal parent of Armaan. Yash never wanted to be forceful on her and left it as that was what she wished. He was wondering what would happen to Armaan.

This was the time Prateik came forward. He decided to adopt Armaan. He had to first speak to Paridhi about this whole thing. He went to the clinic and shared this whole issue. He wanted to tell her in advance that once they were married would she be fine with adopting Armaan.

Prateik: Paridhi, it may sound strange to you --- but as you know my whole past, this is the best I can do for Arpita. Please think about it and tell me if you are willing to be a mother soon after marriage but first to an adopted child. I will not force you into this marriage if this whole idea does not appeal to you. I will find another way to go about it. And let me clarify --- either ways --- my love for you would remain exactly as it has been and will always be.

Paridhi does not even take a moment to decide.

Paridhi: I would gladly welcome that Prateik as I know what it means to be without parents. We both will fill Armaan's life with all that he needs. You may tell Maanav that I am ready for this in the future whenever the legalities demand it after our marriage.

Prateik was filled with joy on hearing this and felt a great sense of relief too. As he wanted to leave to share this new with Yash bhaiya, Aarti bhabhi and most importantly Maanav, Paridhi stops him and says: We need to get married soon Prateik--- in the interest of all.

Pratiek agreed with a smile and it was finally decided that Armaan shall be the legally adopted son of Prateik and Paridhi.

Maanav left the country and kept in touch with Prateik about Armaan and how he grew. He did not want too much interaction with him as he wanted Armaan to be undivided in his love to his new parents now.

After seven years ----

Maanav came to the country and visited the Scindhia Mansion to see a ten year old Armaan and seven year old Palak and Payal. They were all growing as one happy family. Aarti always was as loving to all as Paridhi was busy with her duties. Though she was the legal mom to Armaan and loved him a lot, in her absence Aarti was the one to care for him which was ideal situation for Maanav.

He decided to leave a happy man and as he was doing so, he saw Vidhi walk in.

Maanav: Hello Vidhi, how are you?

Vidhi: I am fine Maanav. Have you settled down well in the new country?

Maanav: Yes, now I am feeling even more happy that Armaan is happy here.

Vidhi took a bold step in asking him: Maanav, are you considering marrying again?

Maanav was surprised at this and replied: No, not any more as it was mainly for Armaan that I wanted to.

Vidhi: My Dad is no more Maanav.

Maanav felt bad on hearing this. He asked her what she was doing these days.

Vidhi: I am working here and come over to look up Armaan often. I was hopeful of meeting you too someday.

Maanav wondered if she was trying to give him a hint. He felt it was best to leave things as they were and decided to leave when Vidhi spoke: Maanav, can't we think of what Yash and Aarti wanted a few years back when my Dad was around?

Maanav was about to say something when Yash and Aarti came forward and spoke: Yes Maanav, you need to settle down now too and Vidhi wants to marry you. Please don't refuse.

Maanav: But Armaan is no longer with me and she wanted to marry me only for Armaan earlier.

Vidhi: But now I want to marry you for myself Maanav. In you I will find Armaan.

Maanav and Vidhi were clear that no way they would disturb Armaan and got married and left the country.

Prateik and Paridhi did not have their own children as a conscious choice and when Armaan grew up into a youngster, he followed Paridhi's footsteps and became a doctor. He was very loving towards his sisters and was the perfect elder brother of this family. He wanted to go abroad for further studies and this was the first time he spoke to all of them about his innermost desires.

Armaan: I wish to spend a few years with my Dad and Mom (he meant Maanav and Vidhi). Now I understand the whole purpose of my being here and it is only fair that I give them my love too.

Needless to say, Yash, Aarti, Prateik and Paridhi allowed him to go to his Dad and pursue his post graduation there.

Armaan met Maanav and hugged him.

Maanav: Armaan, you look so much like your Mom.

Armaan: Yes, that's what Aarti Ma also tells me. Dad I have so many people who have showered me with motherly love that I never felt the absence of my actual Mom. I want to enjoy the same from Vidhi Ma too. And of course, I'll be with you Dad to support you and love you all my life. You took such great steps at that point in your life which must have been so difficult for you. But you did it for me. Isn't it?

Vidhi comes there.

Vidhi: Armaan beta, you have become so handsome! We are so happy to have you with us. Your Dad thinks of you every moment of the day.

Armaan: I know Ma. Now once I finish my studies I want that we all shift back to India and settle down in the same city as all of you have become an important part of my life.

I am one of those fortunate ones to have the love of so many of you. Once Palak and Payal are married Yash Papa and Aarti Ma too would be alone, so staying in the same city we could all be of help to each other.

Maanav and Vidhi were thrilled at Armaan's idea and readily accepted his plan.

Armaan went on to become an accomplished doctor and returned with Maanav and Vidhi to stay close to the Scindhia Mansion. He got his sisters settled first before he went on to marry his fellow classmate --- another doctor!

Yash and Aarti were sitting and reminiscing about their whole life..

Aarti: Yash, did you ever wonder that Arpita has been in our lives all the time through Armaan. She had a strong connection with this family ---- first towards you and then Prateik's attention. Armaan is actually Arpita living with us.

Yash: I agree Aarti. I must say that you have also proved what an ideal friendship is by doing so much for her child --- as much as you did for ours too.

They feel happy for their children who had settled down well with their spouses in their respective homes.
