Yash is really bhola but not dumb. He use to believe strongly that true love happens only once in the life. So now when he is falling for Aarti, he is not able to understand that he is worried about her or caring for her just because she is his wife or its love for her which is creating all these emotions in him.

But definitely I didn't like the idea that Prashant gives him some hints to identify his love. CVs might use this sequence in future to help Yash understand the nature of Prashant that he never wanted to come bet AarYa when the truth will be out.
