Thank you for this much needed thread!
I do have few complaints with the way things are shaping up.
1.Less attention to Palak and Payal:
This has been going from the first episode itself. I was expecting to have equal focus on all 3 kids atleast after marriage. But sadly Palak and Payal havent got their due, except for one track which focussed on Palak and her accepting Aarti as her mother. Rest it has been more about Ansh. I know he is a adorable and very natural on screen, but girls deserve equal attention too. Most of the time they are missing from the screen. We have loads of Aarti-Ansh and Yash-Ansh scenes, but very rarely do we get to see Aarti or Yash bonding with Palak-Payal. Frankly speaking there could have been so much more bonding esp between father and daughter. At times it seems they arent even a part of the family, Aarti,Yash and Ansh seem to be in a different space all together
2. Aarti's procrastination of Prashant truth:
I am finding it really hard to empathise with Aarti's procrastination in telling the truth about Prashant. Seriously how long is she planning to hide the truth? Till he ACTUALLY dies? It has made me stop relating to her character. And I am not a great fan that she has decided to tell thee truth(again),when Prashant has reentered her life... She is taking the step not because Yash deserves to know something as big as this, but because she is afraid that how would Yash react if he comes to know from a third person. So she is acting not out of choice, but out of fear. Not impressed. And even now I am not sure when and how she is going to tell the truth. There would be several hits and misses for that too.
3. Yash's character:
I havent been exactly too happy with the way Yash has turned all sweet and pampering towards Aarti. I understand that he is trying to do his best to keep Aarti stress free and happy, thus ensuring her and child's well being. But yet this does not feel real Yash. Its like he has put on a happy facade to keep Aarti happy. I hope his real feeling come forth once Aarti- Prashant truth comes out. I would like to see equal focus on Yahs's feelings and his dilemma.
PS- It would be really nice if he stops addressing Shobha as Shobha Ma and reverts back to Aunty. Shobha Ma sounds really artificial and too sugary.
4. Shobha's Teachings to Aarti:
Once upon a time in PV, Shobha ji used to the strongest, sanest and most admired character. Not so anymore... Her preachings have stopped sounding genuine since a while. On top of that I cant take anymore of her advising, interfering, requesting, coaxing, convincing, manipulating and preaching Aarti at every turn and in every single decision of hers. For once I would like her to let Aarti take her decisions without reminding her of every possible catastrophic consequence. And for once I would like Aarti to develop some spine and stick firmly to her decisions, rather than taking the most convenient route as suggested by Shobha ji.
5.Some Genuine light hearted moments:
Can we have some genuine light hearted moment between, Aarti-Yash as well as AarYa and the kids? Some sequences where one catastrophe or other is not hanging on them. Any secrets or lies are not eating them up.They are acting nor for the sake of duty, but by heart?
It seems I haven seen some pure fun moments for the longest time. It is all doom and gloom. Plz refer to your previous scenes on how to create something beautiful out of ordinary, simple moments. Eg. AarYa Math scene,Garden pipe scene with AarYa and the kids,Chinese whispers with whole family. Can we have that flavour back, and not see all character traumatised all the time?
