I am totally confused. I don't know whether I missed an episode or a part of one but from what I remember, Yash was OKAY with Aarthi until he realized that she left the heater on and caused Arpita's stuff to be destroyed. They returned home the very next day!

How could Aarthi not remember such a critical thing as spending time alone with another man, be it her best friend or not?

As an' ideal bahu' that is definitely not right.

I don't think it's that Aarti doesn't remember the incident... I think she doesn't think that could be the reason for Yash's anger. there could be a number of reasons for that: a) from the way Aman spoke of Yash, it sounds like the two already met in Mumbai. I don't know how Aarti and Aman got stranded in the rain but I am sure Yash knew of it. It would've been different if Aarti was keeping Aman a secret and Yash just happened to catch them together. b) Aarti is under the impression that Yash is not romantically interested in her (he's made that clear to her more than a few times) so I don't think she even thought of jealousy as the reason. c) from the articles, I got the impression that Aman and Aarti were stuck somewhere for the entire night 😲... but that doesn't seem to be true. so it's not as bad as I had originally thought. Also, if there was a change in Yash's behavior after their return, Aarti might've attributed that to his phobia of rain. lol.
Still, knowing the CVs, they will probably give us another twist... so maybe this incident is not the reason for his anger... def. not the entire reason.

I just think that it is totally unfair to cast aspersions on her character... some seeds of doubt will forever remain in the minds of her in-laws about her faithfulness... Bua's ad Gayatri's especially.

I would have preferred if Yash believed she had set out to entrap him as per her MIL's request or some other LOGICAL reason for his boorish behaviour, but certainly not the perception of 'betrayal'!
