I am sorry if I wasn't being clear in my earlier posts. I NEVER, EVER said or implied that both should have made sure that Ansh read the speech. Because the way you wrote your lines implied that I am the one who's living in the ideal world and proposing that! 😆 It would be actually ridiculous to suggest it considering my own life experience.

All I have been saying repeatedly is that Yash not checking Ansh's work does NOT preclude Aarti from following up.

Oh No Kavi. I didn't think you implied that at all. I completely understood what you said in the earlier post. I used your name and what you mentioned about Yash and Aarti checking up with Ansh just as a reference to elucidate on the point that cropped up in my mind that maybe love is what drives a parent in a relationship to step up when they see their partner less focussed or busy. Yash has this blind belief that Aarti will take care of everything and Aarti has this blind belief that whatever Yash takes care of will be all right. Like you said Aarti could have and should have checked on Yash's speech for Ansh or follow up with Ansh if had practiced. And it goes the other way too I suppose. Yash knowing that both Ansh and Palak has a debate could have very well stepped up and checked on Ansh if had his speech ready or if he needs any help putting it together. He did not do that until Aarti pointed out her dilemma after giving him a cup of tea. I wonder if both of them were in love and they had no issues with communication, would they have naturally taken on these responsibilities without the other partner prompting them to do so. Here, I always feel that there is this feeling or fear of not encroaching on the other parent's space which does not bode well for the kids.

And I apologize if you thought I was implying that you live in an ideal world. None of us do. 😆 I am obviously not a good writer like many of our members who can get their message across without being too wordy. I need to learn to be more succinct/to the point. 😆

Jyo, I didn't mean that this is going to be the one trigger point. But like Sammy said these two might think that it is important to show an overtly loving relationship in front of the kids.

Yash's will is so strong. I have always believed that he is half in love with Aarti but it is is his unyielding will power that holds him back from acknowledging any feelings for her. He keeps reiterating in his mind that Arpita is the only person whom he can love. If after what the Principal said, Yash and Arti think that showing a happy loving mushy kind of relationship in front of the kids is important then I wonder if that will allow Yash's blinkers to come down for a while. Yash's mind might be more open to actually seeing the person that Aarti is and what it is about her that he finds so appealing. And when he starts seeing her with an open mind without the walls he has put up that is when he will genuinely start falling in love with Aarti. So when I said trigger point I meant it as a starting point for him to remove all the clutter from his brain in the form of Arpita- something like a clean state just like what Aarti went through after Prashant came back. And once Yash is in that state of mind then his heart is more open to accepting other triggers that shows him the way towards Aarti's heart. Just like how Aarti started noticing and appreciating Yash as a man she loves rather than as Ansh's father after she was able to get rid of Prashant's presence from her mind.

@Kirti : Oh k I guess now I got it .. yup mayb those words of principle might make him change his ways a bit and he might decide to act a bit more freely with Aarti in front of kids and in the process he might actually start discovering Aarti without those set of reservations in his mind 😳...Its a good point actually ...

U know I m thinking if its actually the starting point like u said , then first thing Yash needs to do is remove those Arpita portraits from his room so that Palak finds it easy to accept Aarti as her mother without any confusion 😃...
