Every other day we get supposedly "new" articles on TRPs cropping up on one forum on other and they have everyone going in a frenzy!

Personally I won't believe in any numbers that are released before December 19th, because TRPs went out with a lot of fan fare, every major news source reported on it and they were extremely clear that no new TRPs are coming out till the 19th because of digitalization! And, if for some reason, they did decided to release the numbers early, there would have been multiple articles from reliable sources breaking that news first! Scrutiny, televisiontrp.com, TOI, TC, Rangmunch, etc. haven't reported any TRPs since Week 40, so there is no reason to believe that these numbers have any credibility! And anyways, most of the shows are still in the very range they were 5-6 weeks ago, which is beyond suspicious! And it might have looked a little bit real if there wasn't such a huge, glaring jump for MB! It's a good show, I follow it, and it's definitely on a high these days, but none of that warrant an 2+ jump, it's not possible, even BALH did not seem such a ridiculous increase post its leap when its TRP shot up!

So don't worry about it, the numbers will come out on the 19th and I am sure there will be good news for us! Multiple segments have mentioned that the show is increasing in popularity every day since Yash and Aarti's makeup and that will definitely reflect when we get the official TRP!

true maham... lets wait for one more month for the official numbers to be released... i find it weird that since the past few weeks one particular forum is releasing TRP news in which only that particular show is showing major TRP increase whereas other shows remain where they were before... so it certainly doesnt look very credible...

anyway even though digitization has been made compulsory in major cities, i know a lot of people who havent received their set top boxes yet and are unable to watch cable... so even when TRPs are released on 19th, it would give an even less accurate rating than before... some major revamp has to be done so that correct ratings are captured... does anybody have any idea how other countries capture television ratings?

Guys lets not discuss the TRPs before 19th Dec since noone knows what is right and what is wrong ..

Coming to those figures , I think the member is not wrong .. but the member's info can b misreaded .. those figures basically show only north and west part of India whereas I feel eastern and southern parts r not added .. TAM trps come with east+west+north+south zone figures and their avg is what we say the final trps ..

For eg .. if a show gets 4+ trps in west+north zone but say just 1+ rating in south+east zone .. so the avg trps of that show will b 2+ when TAM will release it ... thats how its counted 😊...

And that list mein the most suspicious trp for me is IPK .. because IPK dint even manage 3.6 for Shyam expose track or ArHi marriage track .. so how can it manage 3.6 now 😆..I guess IPK fans themselves will agree on this .. so it proves that these r not final figures but only figures of one particular zone ... and Zonal figures can b extreme depending on number of set top boxes that zone hv ...

So we cannot say these figures r wrong .. but these r not the final figures 😊

I just want trps of PV in top 10! That's it.

Only 5 days left for TRPs! :-).

I think PV will be again having TRPs in 2.5-2.8 range. But I wish we cross 3.0 and that too more often.

A site called Ormax Media on twitter conducted survey in 12 cities and PV is not in their top 10 :-(. Hopefully we will be in top 10 in TRP ratings :-).

Well all the doubts would be cleared in 5 days time. Let's hope for the best, the show deserves good numbers. We shouldn't be disheartened if things don't go our way though (since based on the poll conducted by Ormax Media, PV isn't amongst the top 10 shows). We still have a lot of high-points that have not be dealt with yet, plus the Mittals are the best at their job. Let's see what happens. =D
