TAM Ratings for Week 36 (2 - 8 September 2012) - Zee TV takes number one position

Well …it's Wednesday today and whether you like it or not…no one can ignore the ratings business, especially if you're in the television business. Hence, here are the TAM ratings of week 36. Zee TV has once again managed to reach the number one position with a 251 GRP repeating its feat of week 33. Star Plus is on number two position with a 250 GRP, while Sony Entertainment Television is number three with 244 GRP. Colors slumped in the rating race and found its place on number four (229 GRP). While on the other hand… Life OK, SAB TV and Sahara One are number five, six and seven channels respectively.

Coming to the shows… Diya Aur Baati Hum maintains its numero uno position with a 5.3 TVR and Balika Vadhu has again bagged the second slot with 5.1 TVR. Saath Nibhana Saathiya (3.8) and Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai (3.4) are on the third and fourth spots respectively. Whereas… Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah which was in the sixth position last week, managed to climb over Bade Achhe Lagte Hain with a 3.3 TVR. Consequently, Bade is on number six with 3.2 TVR.

When it comes to weekend programs, Kaun Banega Crorepati takes the limelight with 6.1, 5.3 TVR on Friday and Saturday respectively. The others in the top positions in the weekend band are Dance Ke Superkids, CID and Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa (see the rating below). Sur Kshetra that went on-air last week opened at a very low rating of 1.2 TVR for Colors while for Sahara One it was just 0.2.

Trp breakdown of last week ...Credit to Poco 😃..

Mon-2.8 (Brothers hv drinking session and Aman-Aarti arrives...worked..😃)

Tues-3.2 😲 (Main flashback starts with Yash giving mukka to Aman and showing possessive ness for aarti...worked wonders 😳)

Wed-2.9 (flashback continues and Aarti tells about 3am night fiasco..worked 😃)

Thurs-2.6 (Bua asks for agni pariksha and even though Yash clears it out later but in previous epi precap they only showed agni pariksha part and so viewers it seems got turned off and dint tune into this episode ..in short aarti ka humiliation dont work with viewers 😊)

Fri-3.1 😲 (since thurs Yash came to Aarti ka rescue ,so trps jumped next day as the essel world flashback and Prashant secret was on the way 😛)

so if thursday we would not hv fallen then trps would hv touched 3 mark...see friday we scored 3.1 despite KBC which went till 11 pm ..😃

Thanks so much for the TRP breakdown Jyo! Fantastic numbers throughout except for Thursday's episode! This Boa and her agni parikshas NEVER work well with the viewers and there is always a downward trend in the numbers when she opens her mouth, but the CVs can't seem to take that hint! And it's sad because that was the episode where Yash actually opened his mouth in Aarti's defense, they should have shown that in the precap instead of Boa's nonsense! If it hadn't been for that one outlier we would have been in the 3s again!

Anyways, seems like Aman was well liked because Tuesday the numbers shot up to 3.2 which was also the highest of the week! And such a strong ending to the week despite KBC's record breaking numbers is always a good sign, and with the Prashant angle that they blew open in Friday's episode along with the promos, the numbers should definitely spike up this week! They've delivered one stunner after another and these none of these episodes are ones that should be missed! I am hoping that we touch our series high this coming week because if any track deserves that it's this one! Aarti's pregnancy, AarYa talli dance, RK's cameo, potential consummation, they have done everything they can to pull the rug right out of the audience's feet, and that surprise element always bodes well!

thanks so much for posting the breakdown..😲 that was quiet shocking except for thurs episode that neutralized the other days 😡 oh well, we should be having more glimpse of AarYa together.. Aman made a very good contribution, quite a charm himself.. 😳 cheers for next week's positive TRP gain!!!⭐️
