I started watching the show because I thought the promos were great and the story would be different from the shows on tv at the moment, but the writers seem hell-bent on making it into a typical indian serial.

They've already begun the saas-bahu drama, but is it really needed? So many twists and turns have taken place, secrets and lies, and even throwing aarti out of the house in just a few months of the show starting..

I know a bit of drama is needed but not this much.
I was hoping they would focus on Yash and Aarti's relationship, and how they would accept each other and each other's children. They could've shown their personal struggle to adapt to their new roles as step-mother and step-father, as well as being husband and wife to someone, when they are still in love with someone else. They could've developed everything gradually, but it all seems somewhat rushed.

I think Gurmeet and Kratika deserve better storylines, especially Gurmeet who at the beginning of the show said he was looking forward to playing a new role as a father, and a totally new concept, but at the moment he is not getting that..

At the end of the day it is about Yash and Aarti's punar vivah, so isn't it only right to expect most of the show to focus on them and their children rather than how much the in-laws are against aarti?
I know all families take time to adapt to a new bride and accept someone else's child in their house, but sometimes I think the family are too irrational with the way they behave..

I still watch and love the show, but really hope the writer's focus more on the leads as they deserve more screen time..

Sorry if I offended anyone..

I think the writers are doing a fine job. The show is going on perfectly. whatever drama has been introduced, nothing felt OTT, apart from 1 or 2 scenes, but then I don't think there is any show where no scene is OTT! about Gurmeet's wish, i think he is getting what he expected.the character of Yash is the best male character on tv at the moment acc to me. and of course totally different from what he has done so far. the show is 3 mnths old, and the leads' love track hasn't yet started. Before all that the family issues need to be handled as well, becoz a remarriage does not mean only how the husband and wife, and the chidren make adjustments, its also about what kind of expectations the guy's family keeps from the girl who is being remarried, so the family members are an important part of the show. Most importantly, the characters are so well etched. all characters including SP and Gayatri are close to reality and that makes this show the best on tv right now, acc to my opinion.

The screentime of the leads will increase more with time, once their love track starts. however, i think at the moment also, the screen time both hv is fine.

Have we ever seen a remarriage on TV before? Do we know exactly what the couples families have to go through and what expectations do they have...I'm sure the answer to this no...More than saas bahu drama it feels like a sasur bahu drama to me...so yeah this serial is unique in that aspect as well...I have not seen SP type sasurs on TV...and talking of drama thats an essential part of any TV serial for the sake of TRPs...tell me one TV serial which does not have OTT drama...I bet there is none... Agree with Ria completely...Gurmeet is currently the best male character on TV...

I think you guys might have misunderstood me.

All I meant was that we don't really need that many twists, and that I'm sure Gurmeet and Kratika could do justice to the show without it all..

Initially I also thought Yash was shown less in episodes. But from few last weeks I can see more of him plus sidetracks r also not ignored. Yash character is like u cannot read him but can trust him anytime. Even his absence speaks a lot. Ya sometimes Gayatri and Bua r too much plus much focus on facial expressions!! Nowadays there is lot of AarYa and Ansh, now waiting for their bonding with Payal palak too.
Overall it is good .

Nice post.

I was replying to the saas-bahu comment made in your post...As far as twists are concerned ...tell me what would have made Aarti trust Yash blindly considering her painful past...something related to Ansh was obvious here
Now this twist of Aartis divorcee truth...I so wanted this truth to be revealed on the wedding night but now I understand y it was not disclosed then...There should be some instance where Yash can trust Aarti blindly as well and what better way than disclosing the truth to him only and starting their lives afresh...I'm still not sure whether the truth would be revealed by Monday but its not far away😊

This is what I was trying to say. I wish they would focus more on Yash and Aarti's personal conflicts, rather than focusing more on SP and Gayatri. Obviously they would focus on the family but it is always so negative especially from Gayatri, and I know some negativity is expected but she goes a bit too far in my opinion.

Agree with you on this part.

I guess I just want to see that Yash and Aarti are one, and that they always support each other and accept each other's children as their own. I think I'm being too optimistic on seeing them as one big happy family so soon.. But I'm sure it will happen.😊

Ya story cud b in a different way too ( as per ur hint ) but then it cannot last for long. There is a history of shows who had a different promising storyline but once all things r sorted out, things r dragged with unwanted nonjustifiable twists ( which we dont want this time ). So better they go smoothly and steadily rather than reaching a saturation point and then facing aprubt fall of TRPs.
Mittals' agenda and storyline will make it a long lasting promising show and GC and KS will gain only.
