Of course families are important, but I have to disagree with you when you say that SP and Gayatri are close to reality.. How many people do you know that would force someone to change their name to the name of their husband's dead wife? And Gayatri is a mother herself, so how on earth did she expect Aarti to leave her son just to marry Yash? What mother in real life would ask that of another mother? She also locked Ansh a little child, who I know is extremely naughty, in a room even though he was crying like mad. Only someone cruel would do that. I've never met such people in my life, who only seem to see their own point of view but not the point of view of others, and that's why I don't like SP or Gayatri. And I think this is what the tm was trying to say that just a few months in we don't need the saas to be that negative, she would like any saas have reservations about welcoming the child of someone else into her house, but she doesn't have to be that dramatic.

There doesn't have to be a major love track but the show should focus on how the family as a whole adapts to new additions to their house, instead of focusing on negative characters.
I'm still only watching because of Gurmeet and Kratika otherwise I think I would've stopped watching already.

I assure u there r such ppl like SP ,Gayatri and Bua in real life, in fact there r worse ppl than them.I hv seen such people with my own eyes. hence i wrote what i wrote.
The name change is a custom in many places, changing it into the name of the dead wife was an exaggeration for the purpose of drama..then again I hv seen much more drama in other shows, so this was comparatively nothing. U hv not met such people, but believe me such ppl exist, in fact the only unreal character in this show is Shobha...I mean probably not totally unreal but extremely rare. people such as Gayatri and SP r very very common. SP is a megalomanic male chauvinist who wants to run his house only acc to his wish, there are so many such people in the real world. PPl like Gayatri are even more common. Insecured, slightly stupid, easily braiwashed by others- there are tons of such people. Even ppl like Bua exist.

I think the show is depicting exactly that- how two new members are getting adapted in a new family...and neither SP nor Gayatri are out and out negative characters. Thats the beauty of this show.no character except Bua and Prashant is really negative. Even Bua and Prashant hv various shades.

However, no one can force anyone to like/dislike a nything. Its ur choice. we r just stating our opinions about the show here.

@eni1

As much as a mothers love is selfless for her own child, I feel its the opposite (not harmful types) for someone else's child and I have seen that around me alot...
I would like to share a real life incident in my own family, my uncle(mama) elder sisters name was same as that of his wife...So my aunts(mami's) name had to be changed...she did not disagree too it either...Name change is a common practice in many parts of India irrespective of the context ...not that I support it...

also if we see aarya as a happy family with the children supporting each other always, what more will be left to see? I want the show to go on for at least 2 more years, so i am perfectly happy with the events. Let them fall in love slowly and gradually.

After marriage, writer's have tried to show that adjustment phase between Yash Aarti & kids, but again somewhere for TRPs they need to raise the level
The problems that are currently going on, starting from the kidnapping track - you might look at them as in laws vs. bahu, but there is another angle to it. With all this Aarti's biggest problem of not trusting anyone in life again, has gone away. Aarti & Yash are more comfortable with each other now, then before. Yash Ansh bonding which was missing earlier is there now, just because of all these problems shown - school change, kidnapping, divorce track

Leads screen time has definitely increased as compared to what the show started with

On one side though they are showing problem of saas-sasur with their bahu, but they are not ignoring the other angle of husband wife supporting eachother - directly or indirectly.
So if they are showing negatives of something, they are showing positives too

And even the upcoming track will bring positives with it

Though only Gurmeet can answer this question best, but as a viewer I think he is getting that change that he wanted. He is getting to play the role of a father, which he said he will. We have seen that in the last 2-3 weeks... in fact in this show he is getting to play a father even before he starts to portray a loving husband, along with other relations as a son, brother

If they would have just stuck with & directly jumped on husband wife relation, adjustment with children, thinking its Punarvivaah... then I guess story can be wrapped up in less then 6 months.

Very well said Shraddha, and also liked how you brought out the point that the saas-bahu element can be seen in another context as how the evil people are playing reverse cupids in AarYa's life, I mean all these problems, twists, and turns are only bringing them together gradually if you look at the big picture!
I think the show is def going fine, and problems in a remarriage are being portrayed well from most aspects!
