@Jyo,

yes, this misunderstanding and separation was much needed, otherwise they would have forever remained as the parents to their children but not husband and wife. Also the separation came just after the emotional turmoil of kidnapping, it had more impact on both.

@Mansi: Your description of bua the "finisher" gave me thrills and chills. I do think she gets a rush out of doing this and in such a lonely life, I am sure such opportunities do not often present themselves. The way she was almost "professionally" covering all the bases today really shocked me! She is more invested than anyone in the destruction of this marriage.

And I loved the rest of your take, especially what you wrote about them blaming themselves. Great minds must think alike becaue just look what I titled today's thread! Even more poignant was the way you described their individual resilience. They are not ones to back down from a tough situation and will continue fighting because they are not just people but parents. I said in my take that it is the kids that are going to bring them together and I sincerely believe that is true because the kids are the ones that make them want things to be better, happier and more complete, an awakened desire they can complete in each other.

@Jyo: True, our elders do make a huge difference because no matter how old we are, somewhere we are always seeking their approval. And it is just awful when they take advantage of that but equally beautiful when the nurture our trust and need for their nod of assent. Loved your point about how it should have been easy for them to sign the papers if they wanted just a nanny, or thought he was like every other guy. But they do clearly mean something to each other now.

I think we read the divorce paper thing in the same way, just expressed it a bit differently. Yash had to prove his love for Arpita by proving that nobody could ever take her place. And I think that is why he signed the papers.

I guess if this were real world and sp and gayatri were real persons then they would certainly require a honest and upright reporter like mohan to come and expose their dirty secrets in the front of the society and only after public humiliation they would learn and i guess since creepy prateek is editor at the prabhat leher where mohan works i can visualise the headlin" ek berahem saas sasur ki jodi aur surpankha jaisi bua do hanso ka joda toda"

updated on pg 3. After such yuckyness from Gayatri and Bua, and pain for Yash and Aarti, I thought I would only have a few words to say, but I ended up with a bit more. Hopefully when IPL is over, AarYa can get past this divorce hurdle with little to no MU between them.

Mr. Dubey really hate Yash and that too just because he is too good and not an idiot like Prashant.

Charles Dickens. 🤣

Well, something along those lines anyway. 😉

@Z: I do agree about bua and I m glad they showed Bua's perspective today ..the reason why she is so vengeful ...in does happen when one becomes a widow at a very young age ...I dunno if u know but a bengali film called "Choker bali" did show the life of a young widow and how to fulfill her own desire she slept with her best friend's hubby which made her look like a witch of sorts but they showed its the pain of being a widow at a young age who is being forcibly deprived of any physical pleasure in her life ever and so she gets sadistic pleasure by ruining the married life of her own best friend ..Aishwariya Rai played the role of that young widow ...the film got national award too

So somewhere I can connect with Bua on a certain level today ...

@Asha: You're right ... all the bahus and the boys seem to have lost respect for the parents! Pratik seemed to be fairly blunt with gayatri!
