A Walk to Remember..
Aarti Yash Sindhiya was a very busy woman upon whose head the running of the entire household rested. She always had to look out for everyone's needs starting from the eldest member of the family, Suraj Pratap Sindhiya to the youngest member of the family, Radhika Prateik Sindhiya and today was no exception!
The whole of the Sidhiya family had gathered at the exotic Goa to celebrate the first birthday of their Princess, Radhika and the entire responsibilities of arranging the party, rested up on her head-yet again even when all the men of the family were proffessional wedding planners!
"bhaiya ji, did you check the lights?"Aarti asked as she sandwitched the back of the pencile in between her dry pink lips indicating that she hadn't had a drop of water from the morning.
The man nodded as Aarti sighed in relief. She checked the time as she sensed that all the arrangement of the party had reached a culminating point.
Her eyes nearly came out of her sockets as the clock on the wall read 4.05 AM which meant that she accurately had 1 hour and 55 minutes before she wished Good Morning again!
"God!Why me?"Aarti complained frustratingly as she walked towards their private cottage that overlooked the beach.
~*~
Aarti opened the door of the kids' bedroom and saw her three children cuddled together.Yash had probably been reading out story to them as she saw Yash asleep on the couch with the Fairy Tales book opened.
She shook her head as she took out the book from his hand and accidentally brushed her hands with his which was enough for him to wake up!
"I.."Aarti began as Yash cut her off saying, "Let me make you a cup of tea"
Aarti nodded obligingly as she followed him to the living room.
~*~
Yash made two cups of tea and came out of the kitchen to see Aarti sleeping soundly on the couch. She hadn't even changed her heavy saree and jewellery.
An almost invisible and an automatic smile crept up on his lips.Yash placed the cups on the glass teapoy and took her legs and placed them on his lap, after positioning himself beside her.
He rubbed her legs ever so lightly and Yash could feel the heat in them.Aaparently, she had been standing for hours together. He continued to massage her sore legs and saw her relaxing.
He lifted her right leg and placed a warm kiss on her sole.Aarti's eyes flew open and she quickly pulled her legs back.
"Yash ji?" she questioned him as Yash stood up and placed his hand forward.
Aarti looked at the extended hand forward and reluctantly placed hers in his.Yash led her towards the back door and opened it to reveal the beach.
~*~
Aarti was amazed at the beauty of the beach that glistened like a golden ribbon in the faint sunlight.Yash entwined her fingers with his as they walked towards the waters.
"It's beautiful Yash ji" Aarti told as she sighed in pleasure.
"And so are you!"Yash replied looking intently at her.
Aarti felt her cheeks turn red and looked away.
They both walked bare feet on the wet sand.Aarti could feel her legs relaxing and unknowingly placed her head on his shoulder.
Yash smiled at her gesture and took her towards a lonely rock.
Aarti stared at him waiting for him to speak.Yash sat beside her as he took her hand in his.
"Aarti ji, I know that you love me.I heard you talking over the phone with Mansi ji.Eversince I heard your conversation two months back, I am unable to sleep.Whenever I close my eyes, your beautiful face pops up into my mind.
"Everytime I see you talking with chote or bhaiya something like fire burns my heart and I am unable to guess what it is.I feel like staring at you for hours together when you dress up our kid to school and take care of their every need.
"I haven't felt this way for any woman in my life, ever. And If this is what you call love, then I am ready to accept the fact that I am in love with you and I am ready to give our relationship a second chance"
Aarti did not say anything as she observed the man sitting before her with utmost admiration. She slowly rested her head on his torso and laced her fingers with his to give her silent approval for his decision in giving their relationship a second chance.
After all,Zindagi Milegi Dobara!
