GC: Show roles are not liable for success, failure - Page 3

lol... it's funny how some people are hell bent on proving that PV's not doing well and Gurmeet is not being accepted in his role... the numbers on the other hand tell a different story... the show is doing really well for something which started just two months back...

Gurmeet is very right. It will take time for a show to geht a stable audience. Even now when it is just 1-2 mths old, it has more than 2 trp, which is a dream for many shows. It is having a very competing time slot with much established shows. But still it is 2nd in the time slot. Only after PV has started to air, Zee has come to third position. Its trp always have a direct correlation with Zee position among other channels. Now only the actual story has started, with time it will get much more trps.

Can you even imagine Yash's character to be like MSK? I mean he was wonderful in GHSP, but that's done and over with, Yash is the complete opposite of him and he is garnering a lot of praise for this portrayal as well!

And that was the reason why Gurmeet signed the show within seconds of reading the script. Yash is something totally different from everything he has ever done before and what better way to expand your acting horizons than taking up multidimensional roles like this one! He is portraying the silent, heartbroken, loving father beautifully and him and Kratika are just gorgeous together! I really wouldn't change a single thing about the show at this point!

@blue: Actually, the week of the wedding, Zee TV took over the second position from Sony all on the shows of PV, it was the only show to increase while everything else took a hit! And the fact that it still maintained it's second position after PR this week speaks a lot about the loyalty of the fanbase because from what I have heard 10:30 is usually the climax of the IPL matches! Lastly, speaking as an international fan, I have to say that the show has gained immense popularity in the States, and is being appreciated left, right and center! So yay for that as well 😃

This article brought me back from my inactive mode. First of all, I dont understand if people were expecting Punar Vivah to have a trp of 10 from first week? I mean the show has been doing consistently good from first week itself, has always been above 2+. It has become no.2 show for Zee TV(after PR) ,since 2 weeks,despite being its newest launch.It is already in top 15, and has been able to hold well against IPL too. The show has been able to make a place for itself in such a competitive time slot. If it's not doing well then which show is?

Why do we compare such a newly launched show with the DABH,or SNS, which have established themselves at top with time. For comparison,we should compare it to the shows that were launched around the same time as PV i.e. Sajda and Kya Hua Tera Vaada. Both were highly publicized,esp KHTV as it was an Ekta show. Compare these with PV, and you would find that PV has done really well for itself, in terms of trps as well as popularity( I am not trying to put other shows down, just making a point that PV should be judged vis-a vis shows launched with it).

I really hope that GC doesnt play heed to such claims of his show not doing well, and continues to have faith in his decision and show. Sometimes I really think that GC is too nice for his own good, getting defensive,when actually he should be proud about his show.

If fans cannot accept the role that GC is doing now just because they are living in the last role then they are NOT FANS OF GC but fans of the character of the last role.
