@Jyoti: Even I was wondering why there were no flashbacks of the Aarti-Prashanth wedding ... but you have given the explanation very nicely👏👏👏:
"This goes on to show one major difference in Aarti and Yash's love for their ex-life partners ...Aarti's love for Prashant was only limited to physical attraction and not a lifelong bonding and so she does not bother to remember their marriage whereas Yash's love for Arpita was more on the lines of eternal bonding where he completely submitted himself to Arpita and allowed her to b the boss in their relationship ..."
I think, as you also say, it could be that Aarti's love for Prashanth was more of the girlfriend-boyfriend variety and not about the marriage bond between them. See her flashbacks are more about the romantic outings she had with Prashanth!

@Jyo , agree with you, Arati has buried her past with a dead Prashant, that too his parents made her do that. That was the best thing.

@skanda, it was a very supportive gesture by Yash to go and get Arati. Also, even though they are not in love, yash is the one who understands Arati even without her words.

This shows, even when the truth comes out, Yash will stand with Arati. And for the first time, Arati will understand what is the real meaning of a life partner and soulmate in the form of Yash

@Mansi :Grt take 👏..and yes it was indeed a huge sigh of relief to see Yash taking the initiative and showing the support for Aarti by himself going to get his wife to the mandap ...what a better way to give indirect slaps on all those faces who were hell bent to convert Aarti into Arpita but here the dulha himself goes to fetch Aarti himself with full respect ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️...
Its a future indication that Yash might not waste time arguing with all about right or wrong but his actions will always speak louder than words 😉😛...today also he does not go around arguing with his family but simply goes to get Aarti and even asks her to clear out all her issues if she wants ...at least we now know that in future ,he will make sure his wife's respect and honour in the family is well maintained 😃
@Samana :Wonderful take and I agree KS looked royal in her dulhan attire ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️..I really felt for Mr.Dubey today since as a father its not easy to perform such puja of a son who is still alive ..But Mr.Dubey does it not only to kill his own emotions that he had for Prashant but also to make Aarti believe that from now onwards Prashant is dead for her ...so I dont think I can blame Mr.Dubey after today 😊...
All the wedding rituals hv been shown with quite a bit detailing and what to say Mittals r indeed masters in it ,.,.,😆😳

So like we all predicted, the lie is still buried under... I have a strong feeling that this lie will be woven as separate track later... She may not be able to tell this tomorrow also...
I liked the expressions and emotions of both GC and KS today. They both were spot on depicting every required expression...
Yash is more receptive now and he is observing the turmoil in Arati... So he may ask her at the next instance of getting a chance...
I did not like the song sequence of Rashmi Desai & Co. Rest all songs were woven well into the flow but these were out of the way a bit...
One good thing is Arati has literally done last rites of her relation with Prashant. Though he is physically alive, hereafter he is no more for her. Symbolic... good ritual they included in the marriage process.

@Samana: I too am having slightly more conciliatory thoughts about Papa Dubey today. You have written about how you think you may have understood the man better. Your points are all valid, I must concede!
I have slightly softened my stand on him because suddenly I saw what he may have been trying to do. By asking Aarti to go ahead and continue the shaadi under the pretence of being a vidhwa, Papa Dubey was pehaps trying in his own mind to put a full stop to his own love for his son Prashanth.
We know the way he had reacted the previous day ...when Aarti wanted to go to the mandir, and despite Shobha's protests, Papa Dubey allowed her, he later admitted it was due to his inability to cut off totally from his son, and not so much for Aarti.
Such a man who still carried that longing for his son, must have in his own way wanted to sever ties with Prashanth in a final way. He was probably coming to terms with the loss of Prashanth when he actually asked Aarti to go ahead and get married as a "widow" ... Aarti being able to go forward as a "widow" may probably have given Papa Dubey some much-needed closure on Prashanth.
This is however just one thing that came to my mind today that partially exonerates Papa Dubey. But I am not ready to forgive him for the rest of his many dialogues yesterday.

@Skanda, your thoughts on Papa Dubey are good. I also felt, he himself is trying to do Shraddhanjali to his son... The way he held Arati's hands and was trying to persuade her to do it..

@Jyo: I completely agree with you on the discrepancy of flashbacks where Yash remembers his marriage while Aarti remembers only those romantic moments with Prashant. I liked your reasons and to expand on that, it could also be because marriage was what defined Arpita and Yash's relationship from the beginning whereas that was not the case for Aarti as she and Prashant were already committed to each other before. She does remember the hair moment, which was after marriage. So marriage wasn't what defined the Aarti-Prashant (Aashant 😆) relationship so I guess that is not what comes to her mind.

@Mansi: We echoed each other again in the sentiments about Yash being a real man. Like I said yesterday, it reminds me of Jaya Bachan's dialogue in Kal Ho Na Ho when she convinces Priety of why Saif is a good choice, because though he is not adroit with words, he has that taakat. Yash has that same taakat.

You are right...the soaps really can't compete with what actually happens in real life. My parents married on a lie. My father never told my mother what religion he really was until 30 minutes before the ceremony...and that only because his mother said he had to tell her. Well, my mom was so afraid of what would happen if her parents knew, that she didn't tell them. The wedding went ahead and no mention was made of my dad's true religion. It came out much, much later but by then it was too late to do anything...but my grandparents NEVER really accepted my father. So...these dilema really do happen...it's not far fetched at all!

thanks a lot for sharing your real life experience 😳😳
in fact if u see first page ,many of the members out here hv had similar experiences of a marriage where some lies r told for the betterment of one's future ...nothing wrong in it as long as it guarantees a good peaceful life in long run 😳
Dubeys too might hv thought the same for Aarti that one small lie will give lifelong happiness to Aarti ..
As it is Prashant is almost dead for them ...
So these daily soaps r more or less showing a mirror of our real society where such dramas do happen in weddings ...its nothing unreal ...just that many r unaware of it
