You know the best thing about PV characters...people like them do exist in reality...
Prashant like opportunistic, selfish cads who are so self centered they can only think about their comforts, who think its parents duty to provide stuff for children and ergo he is not obligated to reciprocate and be responsible for them in old age..If he does something for anybody its only because he expects something in return.😕

Satyendra Dubey ...like a weak man, whose achilles feet is his son... his blood, who will take care of him in his old age ...akhir uska apna khoon hai . ..automatically all his sins are wiped away .😳

The promo is very endearing no doubt 😊
But...Ummm🤔
Don't kill me for saying this but I haven't yet fallen in love with Payal-Palak unlike Ansh 😕
Despite being super-sentimental emotional , their situation just doesn't arouse ANY empathy & compassion in me 😕
Yesterday PV started few minutes late & I had to see the previous show's precap & that 30 secs precap made me so fervent that it was very hard for me choking my tears back! CV's had so much scope of doing that 😡😡
During initial days too I had mentioned that way Payal-Palak scenes can stir the audience no other emotional scene can do that! Nothing counterparts the dilemma & pain of a motherless daughter!😭 Neither they are shown too lachrymose nor like a brat! Swinging somewhere in between 🥱 And that irks me 😡

@Deeps :Exactly ..thats what I m finding fascinating in this show ...Whatever Prashant told Aarti was actually the bitter truth regarding how he has fallen out of love with her and he cant help it but he wants his house and parents back because its his right ...this type of men exist everywhere in the society who just thinks about their own gains and profits ...
Also the characters of Mr.Dubey and then Paridi's parents r very real characters ...they all r different in nature...hv a different lifestyle and thought process ..noone is perfect...but in real life such characters exist more than Shobha type perfect characters ...🤔
even for Aarti as a viewer we want her to b strong and give one kantaap to Prashant but mayb in real world we will find cases like Aarti who r still waiting for their hubbies to leave the other woman and come back to them
So the serial projects most of the real world characters

@Redeye :Welcome to the forum and this thread 🤗...I lvoed Krathika's acting yesterday as well 👏...she has got a husky voice and so she emotes beautifully when she uses her voice in such emotional scenes 👏👏...the pain of rejection for the second time was very well portrayed by her especially when she was almost pleading for him to stop ...one can feel disgusted as a viewer watching that scene and its because of the way she emoted in that scene 👍🏼

@Redeye: Thank you and welcome to the forum/AU! 😃

I completely agree that Aarti is a rational being in give and take relationships with very few people. Shobha is obviously the only one with whom Aarti confides though at times it is even hard for Shobha to break down her defensive walls. And Mansi is the one whom she questions. I liked your observation about Mansi being Aarti's window to the world because it rings so true with how she was asking Mansi if she had fallen in love after marriage. All said and done, there is something I just love about the character of Mansi.

And though I do believe the writers made her go on like a broken record, which made us resentful, in retrospect she really had a point. I mean what are the chances that Yash is only marrying for his daughters and would not expect something physical from Aarti? She is only telling her these things to get her to put her cards on the table but possibly overdoes it because of her own bitterness.

I kind of want to see a Mansi - Prashant interaction actually. I think that would be hugely interesting and I would love to see Mansi in the serious, defensive mode that we have only caught glimpses of so far. It is clear that she loves Aarti to bits and would do anything for her, she just suffers in the tact department and has a tendency to make everything about her. Who doesn't have friends like that?

Exactly Jyo...

Except for Shobha 's larger than life character who discarded her worthless son for her bahu ...the rest of the characters resemble people we meet in day to day life...Paridi's social parents , Gayatri and Bua who are stuck in conservative traditional archaic world , Papa Scindia who is a MCP on power trip who loves to keep women under his thumb, even Yash who is the middle son, a young widower who is not allowed to take care of his kids ..coz he is a 'man' and hence is cannot be a caretaker as per the women ;

Pratiek ..who is never taken seriously coz he will always he chota of the house ..Vidhi who is always swamped with ghar ki duties ... OMGGG I can identify such people in my family 😆

@jyoti06: Thank you for your welcoming words now and earlier. Am glad to be a part of this..

In a lighter vein, is it just me or anyone else feel that Yash seemed just a wee bit too thrilled to realize that Aarti had her own netherworldly spouse to interact with and was not going to be a monkey on his back?

I see a lot of hating on Aarti here. So I would like add my thoughts. Yes it is disgraceful too watch a women bend her dignity like this. But I think the point behind showing this was revealing another bitter truth about Indian orthodox society. Women are willing to go through a lot to keep their families together. For an example I knew of some one whose husband was not only cheating on her but he would also abuse her. It took her long time to divorce him for the sake if her children. And after the divorce no one judged him but everyone looked down on her. But today she is very successful herself and done a great job bringing up her kids. No one would say she is a weak women. Similarly I think the character of Aarti is very relatable while she has her strengths she also has some weaknesses but she is not a weak character. The example I was referring too, the husband shamefully admit in tears he was at fault and his kids don't want anything to do with him now. I think a similar thing will happen in Punar vivah. It won't promote weak women but teach them to move on.
