@ Jyoti, Samana, Angake, Deeps, Phal, and all of you here, I just wanted to thank you for your easy acceptance and warmth. I work on computer through the day and loved to go through all the discussions happening here during my breaks. I took the plunge two days back and I'm so glad I did---coz' the working day doesn't seem so stretched out any more. 😊

Thank you Indu.

I too am new on this particular forum. I don't watch too many shows and I have been active on one other forum but that's about it. I was very intrigued when I initially saw PV promos, something about the concept drew me in, especially since little kids were involved. I knew nothing about the lead actors but I am thoroughly impressed by them and all the supporting cast too. When PV started and I checked out the PV forum I was really not inclined to post anything since I saw a lot of infighting going on regarding the popularity of the lead actors. But gradually I see that has begun to fade and I see so many fun and impressive thoughts and analysis. So, yes let me join you to thank all who come up with such wonderful discussions and analysis. And I am hoping it will be a place where we can let our creative juices run and play amateur psychologists. 😆

@Angake: I am not a TV buff either. I am very selective in what I watch. Geet was the last show that caught my interest till the story took a downslide. Did GC get me here? Partly, yes, maybe. But , the combo of the concept + GC+ Kratika was a definite yes. I had watched Kratika in a show of colors (don't remember the name) where she had played a girl with gray shades. And I remember being impressed (never watched JKR). And more than his physical magnetism, GC's acting nuances and his pure devotion toward his work caught my eye. Hard work in any field always bears fruits. And last but not the least, the core theme of the show made me watch a show at 10:30 at night for the first time in my life (shocking my daughter). 😆 So, cheers to PV and bigger cheers to my newly made virtual friends👍🏼

@ Jyoti: Thank you! and Yes I just feel like the show has had such a strong and good start and could only get better if fixed such small flaws in the character scatch and a few scenes here and there. After all we just want the show to get better and succeed as much as it could-that's why constructive criticism always works!

I was going to ask you but forgot so here is my question. I know you have mentioned that your married and since I am not Indian and don't really know everything there is to customs and tradition I can't find the reason as to why it is a sin for a father to eat at him daughter's in law house? I am sure there is a good explanation but I was not able to find it and I know it is often mentioned in the show so if you could please explain!

I second Jyo! It is so nice to see more and more intelligent writers and amateur psychologists (me too, Angake, me too 😉) joining in the discussion! I hope the show continues to do justice to our skills and gives us lots of meat and bones to pick apart into the wee hours of the night.

And on that note, today's thread:

PS: Jyo I loved your point that the girls are really possessive of their daddy. Father-daughter relationships are something really special, and I guess even more so in a context where your father is the only parent. They are not only jealous of Ansh but also of Aarti as they are not happy to share their dad. And you are right. It is okay as long as she is their nayi mumma but papa's new wife...not so welcome! 😕
