Very well said! You picked up on exactly the points I had issues with.

What got to me the most was that Yash's mother wasn't even apologetic about what she was saying. Rather, she was defiant. As if she's doing some great favour on Aarti by having her married to her son. Aarti's coming into the family as pretty much a caretaker for the daughters only, will have a husband who does not love her or even want to get married and she's not supposed to expect any affection from said husband. And she's the lucky one. Right!

In that sense, Aarti and her parents can view Yash as inadequate and his daughters as 'baggage' but they're not doing that, are they? Their mindset isn't as backwards and frankly, idiotic.

I'm glad the show is picking up and bringing to light all these different kinds of thoughts and people that really do exist and we even know of but usually prefer to turn a blind eye towards. Hopefully, the show can do something to help eradicate the sexism in our societies.

ERRM, Uncle. A 'mard' is a human-being too. A 'aurat' is a human-being as well who is not a car, house, laptop that one can mourn for a few days and buy the next one. The woman your son loves and is nurturing in his memories is his friggin' wife ! Not all men are clinical and machine like that they can hop to the second wife/relationship at the word 'go'. I am just glad that none of your sons have this mentality . Bade Bhaiya, Yash and Prateek are different and am glad. Uncle maybe a good man but am sorry , with these statements , he came across as a caveman to me. Like seriously, 'Shobhaa nahiin deta?"
Yash' mother : Arre hum koi daan dahej nahiin maang rahe. Unki vidhwaa bahu ko apna rahe hain. Agar Aarti ke saath uska beta aayega to woh Yash ki betiyon par dhyaan nahiin de paayegi. Humein bacchon ke liye Maa chaahiye , sauteli maa nahiin. 😡
UGHS! Now, you know why i keep saying that nobody loves Aarti's bag and baggage - only Aarti. How could Yash's mom even think stuff like that? She expects a mother to dump her only son for marriage? What about Ansh's childhood? His need for his mother? What about Aarti's feelings and her umbilical cord? What will Ansh thinkk about a mother who gave him up just to marry another man? How SELFISH can you get , woman? And this is not even being selfish - its INHUMAN.
I am so angry at Yash's parents , specifically his mother. I hope Aarti comes and teaches her new in-laws a thing or two about sensitivity and the end of the medevial times. Yash seems to be starting the process tomorrow itself.
Anyway, kudos to the team for bringing forth the disgusting secrets of our society. People like that do exist and make us squirm.
Love and luck always,❤️
GOD bless everyone. 🤗

Yeah it's really disgusting after watching today's episode i was crazy like killing Mr & Mrs.Sindhia especially mrs.sindhi, how could she even say that being a woman & more than that a mother of so much grown ups.
Kya ek buaa kaafi nahi tha ab yeh dhono bhi hamare ArYa ke liye mushkil ban gaye...especially i am worried for Aarti but guess Yash supports her all the while...

CVs r trying to show one irony here ...
Aarti got a good sasural initially who treated her like a daughter ..but still she could not find happiness ..because her husband turned out to b a moron
Aarti after punarvivaah will find a orthodox sasural who might treat her selfishly just like a typical bahu and the trailor for it we saw today itself 😆 ...but still she will find peace and happiness ...because her husband will turn out to b the ideal man who will support her forever 😳...(It was clear in precap itself where Yash might oppose his mother's condition and will tell all that Aarti's son too will come with her after marriage😃)
So getting a perfect husband is more important than getting a perfect Sasural ...Is that what CVs r trying to show ?? ..hmmm 🤔

Jyoti totally agree with you!! !This reminds of that show with two sisters one dark and one light ahhh brain freeze cant remember the show's name 😆 but you know the famous one with Sara khan anyways they were using similar concept in regards to the issue of color of skin how being fair skinned does not mean the girl would have a happy and blissful life as the lighter skin sister went through all the struggles as oppose to the darker girl who fell in love with her would be husband and eventually got to marry him and blah blah blah you know...

But yea when I read you post it reminded of that and how Aarthi got the best in laws yet she miserable because her husband left her and later will have not the best in laws but a good husband that will stand by her no matter what!

Poco🤗
When Yash's father said those cold words to Yash, I was speechless. But when Yash's mother went on to deliver those ridiculous lines I fell off my chair!
Seriously! I mean seriously! Are they so heartless?
And what if someone said those words about their son and his children. I was fuming I tell you!
But thank goodness, it looks like Yash is made from a different mould to his parents and I have full confidence that he wont let mother and child be separated.
But Aarti's in laws blatantly lying about her being a widow and not a divorcee is going to come back and haunt them.
What people have to do and say to get their divorced daughters remarried is truly heartbreaking.
As always Poco...wonderful!😳

Thank you so much for replying, everyone. I think the road is only going to get tougher for Aarti. Lies of her own in-laws, paagal 40% khaandaan of Yash, initial hiccups with Palak and Paayal, refusal and rejection of Yash for her as a woman, her realization that she is just supposed to be a polished Aayah and only a wife in name. Phew! If Aarti doesn't get a nervous breakdown, WE WILL.

Love and luck always,❤️
GOD bless everyone.

wow...it is laugh worthy and yet commendable on the cv's part to portray something every social strata in india faces in a normal , daily life...i adore the way the presentation of conventional , stereo typical and socially fixed gender roles are highlighted...the societal stigma of society playing with our minds and conveniently confining specific virtues for specific gender roles in a specific social canvas made for every assemblage...whether an indian..or a victorian one...women are not allowed to run free and wild and maintain delicacy in everything they do...and men conveniently are emotionally void dominant money investors...what is new?this happens within every locality..and if youprotest..you are either labeled as mother teresa wannabe..or a peace baba...even colourism is spread like a plague in india within every community..if you are apparently fair , you are conveniently branded pretty...features ho bhi yaa nahi...at least in india , it is still very strongly and stagnantly present...

i wish aarti decides to meet yash before marriage and clear it out that her son will get equal importance and she will just be a mother and a wife not a'adarsh' daughter in law . i can relate to this story as my friend like aarti is in similar situation.

Very nice post !
Sometimes the dialog writers go bonkers His papa's dialog reminded me of 'Mard ko dard nai hota' type stuff.. Well that i STILL can understand.. But what's wrong with that MIL's dialog..
Paagal.. She reminded me of Mohini Basu of KZK.. Selfish.. Self-centred and insensitive woman.. I, Me and Mine.. 😡 Does she have a heart ! 😡
Lovee the show !

exactly my point ..i was feeling 🤢..listening to yash's dad's words..typical MCP...but i was mad at Yash's mom...what kind of mother she is who wants a mother to leave her child for own happiness??if a mother does so then why would she take care of step daughters....i thought Yash's mom is conservative yet a sensible lady...coz she was ready to accept mother of a child as a mother only knows how to raise child...but what is this??😡

i hope arti comes to her jkr avtaar and made them realize that they are wrong
