See one way to see that is that she has been hurt by her huband in the past and therefore has issues with men. The other way to see that is that because she has issues with men, even her husband has been unable to break that shell and it could have led to him finding love elsewhere with a more accommodating woman.😲
Aarti is in this serial shown as an orphan, her own parents are obviously dead. It is possible that from an early age she has been used to fending for herself, causing her to be a sort of half-man and half-woman. She is ready to defend herself against whatever she sees as threat. In fact she takes very manly aggressive measures - such as slapping, hockey sticks etc. Such a person cannot be a pliant wife very easily. Her first husband could have expected that sort of dependent woman which she is not.😲
On the other hand Yash is a fiercely independent man and now seems to prefer an independent woman who will not cling to him. He wants a woman who is fiercely protective of herself and the children. In fact Aarti may finally find the kind of man who suits her independent style. And when she falls in love with such an emotionally mature and secure man, she may let down her guard for the first time in her life.
Yash on the other hand, after he falls in love with Aarti, may realise that a loving woman need not mean a clingy woman, and he too may allow her the closeness to himself. He has to see that closeness in love can also mean independence in decision-making and behaviour.

Woww Mansi thats very very well put👏👏 👏👏
it gives a complete different perspective of why Aarti might had a failed marriage ...its more to do with the compatibility factor ,...like u said she being a orphan ,has been quite independent and agressive in her nature while her ex-husband might hv expected a typical dependent and shy type of a girl which she is not ...
but with Yash she might finally find the compatible factor going becuase he too wants an independent girl for himself who can give him that space in life ...
At the same time Yash too might admire the independent nature of Aarti since he too seems to b a very perfectionist and independent type of guy ..
Both thier wavelengths might match here and they might start connecting together 😳...

Guys usually a orphan girl, widow or divorcee women especially divorcee women will be the same, they will be rude, shout n tough. bcz they have to face the society where even today people have wrong notion towards them, they r scared that people will take undue adv, especially with men...

n even bcz they is no one to defend them...

Yess the past bitter experiences of life make them naturally very rude and negative in their way of speaking ...they dont want others to take advantage of their single status

Lot's of people have commented already, and I haven't had a chance to read them so I don't know if anyone else has already said this. I think that her behavior toward men is not due just to Prashant's betrayal, but probably also due to how she has been treated by other men after the divorce. Maybe she is not just afraid that men might try to take advantage of her, maybe she as already encountered men who did try to take advantage of her. We really don't know what all she has had to go through since the divorce happened. Yes, the CV's have shown us tome of societies typical reactions in these first few episodes, but we have no idea what Aarti may have encountered right after Prashant divorced her. It's possible that even after the divorce, she still had a good opinion of men in general, until some of them started to misbehave with her. I guess my point is, it may be more than even Prashant's behavior that has made her so wary.

Yes in our Indian society ,men do try to take advantage of girl who is either a widow or a divorcee especially if she is a divorcee because many assume that oh she might b characterless and so her husband left her ..its always the girl who is put under the scanner 😡...We already saw what happened in the first episode itself in that marriage which sort of gave a rough idea of what Arti must hv gone through in all these 3 yrs after her divorce 😭
So it naturally made her bitter and negative towards life as well as her opinion on men in general

Aarti definitely seems to have a negative vibe towards men, caused by the betrayal she experienced previously. I guess it's even worse for her as she is an orphan and when she met Prashant, she probably thought she found her family, someone she can depend on and trust. When the love you have given so freely has been trampled on, it must eat away the innermost spirit of the person. She probably believed in and thought her marriage will last forever and once you have been betrayed, you aren't as innocent and trusting as you were before. I guess Aarti must feel abandoned and alone in her grief and also feel like she could have done something to prevent it from happening. Society makes it harder for her, the way they question her divorced status which might make her feel like a marked person who doesn't fit in with what they think is right. More than anything, I think she is terrified of opening up again so she pretends like everything is ok and carries on with life.

Yes being an orphan ,Aarti never got a very pleasant childhood and then when her husband too betrayed her in such unfair manner ,it made her further negative towards life ,relationships and men in general ...
Her only support system right now are her FIL-MIL and her kid Ansh ..so she dont want to loose them at any cost ...

there are five stages that one has to go through before one accepts a loss yash is going through a denial phase he is still in relation with his dead wife whereas arti has already passed this denial phase & now she is angy more on herself for trusting someone like prashant
once she marries yash she will come out of this anger phase whereas yash will finally realise that his wife is dead
