Yes, we saw Raj turning over a new leaf, and paying Sarita some attention, thanks to Divya's intervention. I think the person in the forum who said that Raj had the "pygmalion" complex was right on. Raj falls in love (rather in obsession) with his own creation. He gave Sarita a makeover, and fell in love with what he had created. It had nothing to do with Sarita. Raj has another interesting psychological trait. He always wants what he cannot have. For 10 long years, he pined for a Divya that he could not get, and now he is obsessing over a Sarita who is already married to someone else. I see a fear of intimacy in Raj. He is the kind of person who feels safe in loving people that are safely out of bounds. This way, he can hide the devdas role of the spurned lover, who has no interest in moving on with his life, without needing to confront his fears or insecurities.
It will be interesting to see what happens when he is spurned by Sarita. Will Raj finally be able to face his shadow-demons, or will he go the route of revenge and continue to make a nuisance of himself? I certainly hope for the former, as I would like the CVs to move the plot differently than the formulaic "badlaa" track.
