think. Your emotions are the
slaves to your thoughts, and
you are the slave to your
emotions."
? Elizabeth Gilbert
These words fit our own complex male lead called Raj...i am seeing his life in stages like this ones here:
1. Stage one: its his teenager/college days where his life was ruled by beautiful thoughts abt art, love, divya...he was in love and his love was his master..
2. Stage two: This one is brief but triggered other stages in his life: loss of love and dreams, being an artist loosing this made him goal-less, senseless, lifeless, he was teaching divya to be an actress...loosing her he lost love and art in one go..
3.Stage three: consequence of stage two- his thoughts were ocupied by memories, this one is long and lasted for 10 years...living in memories made him aloof, cold and indeferent to outside world..memories caused hurt and frustration, he was slave to anger, sadness, indiference, hurting other innocents in the process
4.Stage four:. i can call this the awakening...seeing divya brought thoughts of passion and promises, concern and especially love...the past has brought humanity in him, although by manipulation he has seen his faults and became slave to Guilt...this is the current stage Raj is in...he is guilty for his behaviour for hurting sarita, guilty for still wanting to love Divya when she played with his emotions, guilty for wanting to b happy when sarita isnt...
This is how i see Raj now when he was angered and hesitant to call divya, when he was scared for sarita's PV..he is just as his thoughts are: confused...
In the precap too, i feel he is been protective about sarita, a stanger holding her hands at first meeting...what if the guy hasnt the best intentions...Raj doesnt want to fail again by sarita.
