Seven vows - when I first read that news I thought it was very progressive (I mistook that for Sarita-Divya wedding 😆). Agree with you. That was way too dramatic, too OTT and kind of stunted.
Agree with you about your other point as well. I have a very close friend from college. This girl has attractive personality and a great career as scientist in top government research institute. After marriage, she had to walk out after 2 months (eventually ending up divorced) as that guy was seriously abusive. You know what, she felt so low after hearing everyone's taunts that she quit her job and stayed in her hometown for 8 months, not meeting anybody, never going out. Finally she was able to move on - is back to work and keeping herself busy in various activities she enjoys. But man it's tough - even her closest relative said that she should have tried to change the guy with her love - nobody paid attention to her dark circles which almost reached her cheeks in just 2 months 😡😡.
I was reading the comments for such a long time about Sarita , rich background , have they shown ,how her background mind set up is . Why not bring some solution for these kind of situations . I know some one , only daughter from very rich family from posh locality of Delhi , married in the same kind of family . Guy does not have any say , the girl has to suffer. she does not tell her parents , not to make them worried . And all the people are not progressive in their thinking around you . really feel bad when parents just says that after child , things will work out .
yes i have sympathy with Sarita kind of character as she is woman and is humiliated daily by family and rejection by the person who married her . there are no dearth of these kind of stories . Why not to show that its the parents who should be the first person to educate their daughters not to take any kind of nonsense after a limit . Yes its the society who is after the girl ,As Raj is shown to be possessive , may say obsessive in the scene , when he was hitting the goons . there is thin line in possessive becoming in to obsessive . Possessive people also suffocate relations . you need space to in life ..
My daughter was yesterday was standing near me when i was reading the comments , she just asked me and was amused , you comment on these hindi soaps .
