Kannauj once more recovered a large measure of its old importance during 1114 A.D. to 1154 . During the reign of Chauhans (1170-1194 A.D.) Kannauj became powerful and annexed to Delhi. Kannauj (Jaichandra's capital) was the scene of Svayamvara of his daughter Samyogita, who was carried off by Prithviraj III. Mohammad Ghauri invaded India and killed Jaichandra in 1193 A.D.
Jaichand's son, Harichandracontinued to occupy Kannauj even after 1193 A.D.

what r we watching i wonder? a semi historical drama or a fact based biography?

Wonder such details weren't there in Prithviraj Raso or wht?😕.

now i am confused swordy...... i think the serial based on prithvi raso by sagars..... 😡 😡

Always knew Sanyo had a brother..infact I had posted this last year in the forum itself....I guess Sagars didn't want to show JC having more than one wife(Harshvardhan was from his second wife or something) so they removed Sanyo's brother from the story itself.

dunno..but sagars can't change da history..i mean jab serial mai ghori jc ko maar dega toh unka empire kya jc ka bhoot sambhale ga i think sagars r making a new story-morden prc..sometimes i really feel tht...do v have any brains...v r watching such a senseless serial...my history have become poorer.. 😕

But,I read somewere that Jaichand was the last ruler of his dynasty,it got over with his death as he didnt have any heir to the throne!
