hi guys😛

herez some info on Qutb-ud-din Aibak.... straight from my history textbook

Qutb-ud-din Aibak ( Reign 1206 - 1201 AD)

Born of Turkish parents in Turkestan , the young Aibak had ben sold to the Qazi of Nishapur who educated him and trained him in military skills . After the Qazi's death , Aibak wassold to Muhammad of Ghori.

Aibak's courage ,generosity, military skills and loyalty to his master earned him the position of comander in Ghori's army . He was placed in charge of his Indian conquests after the second batle of Tarain in 1192 AD. He wa also appointed Master of the Stables and made viceroy in India.

He sat on the throne in 1206 AD inspite of the strong opposition from the Rajputs and other generals of his clan . He was not only a brave warrior but also a god administrator . He was called ' Laksh Bakshor' ( giver of lakh) on account o his generosity.Himself a pios Muslim, he treted Hindus kindly.

He was a great builder. He started the consrtuction of the Qutb Minar at Delhi ( wghich is named after him) which was completed by his son-in-law Iltutmish. He encouraged learning and many scholars lived in his court.

i don't think this part is right.. the qutub minar itself is made from stones of hindu temples after he destroyed them. those still have the vedic verses written in it.
