with all due love and respects for rajat, i think either he should have gone back to his studies or chosen some different roles
he has become what i fear a typecast for historic perid roles, not a good sign for a budding actor and such a little kid. well you guys would love to see him in those prince costume and swashbuckling and may be i will be too, but its kind of unfair for teh real actor in him who should have had his time out
i dont think there's anything wrong with him doing this show..
about his studies, thats his personal choice, whether he wants to pursue a full-time acting career or give more priority to his studies. if he finds quitting school makes it easier for him to handle his career, then its completely fine. he can always join an acting/directing school later on to flourish his skills. its not for us to say whether he should continue his studies or not, its solely his and his family's business.
and about him doing a period drama again, i think the fact tht hes been given a periodic role again shows what an outstanding actor he is. doing an action-packed historical role is by far the most challenging role in indian television and our rajat has the capability to do it, so why not do it again. these kind of projects are very rare (we are living in an era where illogical saas-bahu serials reign the television) and if rajat has been given the opportunity to work in one again, im glad he has grasped it. also he has mentioned that he loved his role as prithviraj chauhan because it was a mixture of everything - action, comedy, romance, tragedy etc. his role as veer seems to be similar so rajat probably agreed on the project because he knew he would enjoy doing the role.
i am positive that as rajat grows, becomes more experienced and recognised on TV, he will be offered a variety of roles which will allow him to emerge as a versatile actor, not just one who does periodic serials.
