Navratri ' the festival of nine nights is celebrated with great 'clat in all parts of the country. Garba & Dandiya-Raas is performed by people wearing colourful dresses and by dancing in a circle, singing 'Garbas' or traditional songs. Dandiya-Raas is played with wooden sticks (dandiyas). Described in the following pages is more about this festival of whirling ghagras, traditional music and colourful dandiyas.

Oh yeah, Happy Navaratri,
have a super duper navaratri...ladies, have fun in doing garba and don't let the men beat you in jumping in the 8 step!
I can't wait to do garba and use my dandiya on misbehaving boys!

yeah happy navratri to all....so how many of goin for dandiya today or later.....how i wish i cud play dandiya wid rt...it wud be fun....hai naa!?!? 😉

Happy Navaratri to all the memberes.......as our Sahithi said....we do have lots of things to do......................these nine days....maa durga fights with Mahishashura...(evil)and finally on 9th day....she will kill him...in the same way lets pray mother to give us strength to fight with the evil in us.....and get rid of them...........
