India is in its present condition today because of the leaders it had in modern times...the founding fathers of the Indian republic made india so that it would remain a socialist country forever...and I would not call India a third world country because that is more cold war terminology...India is in the category of developing nations...the cold war is over, and so it the first, second, and third world....

Mansi I dont disagree with u about India's present situation😊…….but my point was the difference between India's past & present condition......yes India is a developing nation now but it was a developed nation then........I know in the last 5 year India has made a mark in global economy........The concept of third world is over now.......& I see a change of thought process of indians too.......10 years back the NRI indian kids did not think about their country with such a respect that this generation are showing........I really feel proud to find this forum where indian from different parts of world are so much respectful to a brave king of our country........But still we have a long path to go........still in India people die out of starvation..........the ratio of kids who can have the opportunity of education is very less to those who spend their childhood in strenuous work & then die without treatment……..Indian economy is growing but its not yet sufficient to touch all class of people……..the financial difference between rural & urban areas are dreadful……many people spent their whole life on footpath here……..progress of a nation means the growth of mass not a class…….I wish one day we can solve all this problem……..providing a better life to every citizen of India……..Like It was at the time of PRC😊……
