wow, prithvi had 6 wives???? does that include sanyo??? was it before or after sanyo... didnt sanyo object to those 6 wives??? What does the word prithvi means???

prithvi means earth...
he had 7 wives including sanyo.... and it is said that she was possessive about him...

Chaitra prithvi cld have chopped off ghoris head when he was bowing before him the same way he cld have killed the mohabas prince when he came to sacrifice himself or to beg for some time to prepare for the war. Prithvi that time said " Ek rajput kabhi bhi hare hue insaan par war nahin karta". He beleived in these noble qualities a bit too much. Prithvi cld never ill treat a prisoner war and this quality although led to his defeat at the hands of ghori but made him a 100% more a man compared to ghori 😊

well there are always some people who disagree on a certain topic ? Like some historians+politicians believe that Ram is an imaginary character!! But the truth always prevails..Prithvi was a ruler-by the people for the people

you are right kiran...he was a noble man ...i feel bad about his decision only after learning what happened with sanyogita...his strong culture cost her a lot

there is not too much written about PRC and so people do not know much about him, so historians themselves probably don't have much to go by but the small facts that are from other accounts from afghanistan or travellors, or monuments. And if these accounts are negative- the overall image would be negative
but historians in India should at least realise that they don't have to follow western historians (who them selves don't have much to go with) to portray a great Samrat...personally i think that as the founder of the first city of Delhi and the last Hindu King of Delhi, Prithviraj Chauhan should get more acknowlegment and respect from historians, the government (because there is no national memorial in delhi for him!!) and indians (which i think that the Sagars are good at doing!!!)

Prithvi was aware that Bhim Dev could not be trusted because of what Bhimdev did to Prithvi's father. But Prithvi did not know Ghori. Just because one person betrayed us, we should not consider everybody in the world as bad. In that sense forgiving Ghori was a commendable act.

However, I agree with you that he should not have trusted Ghori completely. It was fine to forgive him but it was not right to trust him completely. For a successful king, having great human qualities like truthfulness, forgiveness, helpfulness etc. are good but not sufficient. It is also important to be practical. After forgiving Ghori, Prithvi should have kept a tab on what he was planning through his spies.

To Kiran,
I understand that you want to project Prithvi as a good king in your project. That is good. But just mentioning only his positive qualities will not impress your project evaluators through it will definitely make you and Prithvi's fans happy.😆
Mention all of Prithvi's good qualities that you can think of. Also think what negative things that critics can say about him. Then think if you can find some convincing answers to those criticisms. Include the criticisms and the answers in your project. However, if you come up with some criticisms for which you do not have convincing answers to defend Prithvi, then accept those as Prithvi's negative qualities and mention accordingly in your project. Then your project will be well balanced.
