again sonali you have mistaken me.. i never said rajat would suit the role of elder PRC... i am all for making a sensible serial.. all i wanted was for rajat and mugdha to continue playing their parts till the swayamwar itself since PRC was married by 17-18 and rajat suits that role (angad definitely doesnt look like a 18 year old)
as for angad's looks my perception would definitely be different than yours.. in this day and age being tall with biceps is nothing new... everyone has become macho-figure conscious - almost everyone on TV today is tall with biceps 😆 so they could have searched for a better grown up.. angad does not look like a grown-up rajat ... you know what i mean! <- looking for someone who resembles rajat would be a very difficult task for the casting directors, if not impossible. becuz even if they do find someone who looks like a grown-up rajat, they wud have to ensure that that person knows how to act too. how often do u see children on tv resembling their parents? very rarely to be honest..
PRC was supposed to be a handsome king and angad does not fit the definition of handsome as far as i am concerned.. [and sanjay dutt frankly speaking is enjoyable but his comedy cannot be described as legendary or genius.. he is not versatile <- i think he is versatile..he has portrayed all sorts of roles in his movies such as action, comedy, drama and even romance and has executed each one brilliantly.. the munna-circuit chemistry clicked off but sanjay cant enact all shades of emotions].. i am not saying that angad is bad.. i am saying that rajat is too good to replace and that i dont feel angad is a good replacement.. i am sure they could have searched better and done better..
e.g. we had lovely lovely casted Ram with Arun Govil and amazing Krishna with Nitish Bharadwaj.. all people needed to see was one glance of them and they were convinced that they are perfect Rams and Krishnas (this was even before people started watching episodes full fledged).. similarly about rajat.. one glance and he looked perfect junior PRC (even before people started realising his acting talents)
most dont feel the same about Angad [if what i felt was not true can you explain why most of them - 'even those who are not crazily crazy of rajat' feel similarly about angad]😛 people not wanting rajat to be replaced is understandable becuz he IS an amazing actor and who would want their favourite actor's role to end. saying you dont want an actor to be replaced is one thing, but comparing the future actor with the current one is different and it is wrong because if the prospective actor has not even begun his work, on what basis can we compare the both? if AFTER beginning his work in PRC, angad fails to play his role in the same manner as rajat, THEN we can say tht yeah, this guy sucks and rajat is wayy better. but since we have no proof of whether angad is indeed better or worse than rajat, its too soon to make a judgement.
sure we can say tht rajat's physical appearance is more convincing but i honestly think tht with the costume and moustache etc, angad bedi does look like a rajput warrior. i think seeing angad bedi in his casual clothes has shaped an impression in our minds tht "how can this guy play the role of prc??" but once he goes on set and wears his costume and gets his make-up done, he will look like a totally different person. and isnt tht the whole point of theatre and acting?
tell me honestly, if u had seen rajat for the first time on sai baba, with his short curly hair and ordinary costume, would u have ever thought tht this boy would be playing the role of prc in the future? i dun think so. but after growing his hair and wearing the royal costumes, rajat looks like a completely different person and suits the role perfectly. similarly, with angad, right now he may look unappropiate for the role of prc. but after he puts on his makeup and costumes, he does suit the role too.
