Puja Joshi's Interview
Pooja Joshi, who played Sanyogita in PRC and plays Varsha in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai learnt how to act from her mother. Here, the actress, who is originally from Uttaranchal, talks about her family, her character as well as her dream guy.
Pooja says, "I played a small role in Prithviraj Chauhan before doing Yeh Rishta. I always wanted to try acting and that is how I got into this profession. My mother Geeta Joshi was also an actress. She was part of NSD and has done plays as well as shows though she no longer does it. She taught me a lot about acting."
On her other family members, Pooja says, "Both my parents live in Delhi. My father is in the Delhi Police. We are four siblings. I have two sisters and one brother. My younger sister Damini is an actress; she plays Aayesha in Aladdin. My brother wants to become a singer and he is trying to get on a reality show. My elder sister is married. All my siblings are in Mumbai. "
Talking about her role on Yeh Rishta, Pooja says, "It is a good opportunity. I got offered the part after auditioning for the role." And when asked if she is open to taking up new projects, Pooja says, "I'm so busy that I hardly get any free time so I can't accept another show. Also, I would like to concentrate on this show."
Pooja's character recently got married on the serial. In real life, the actress describes what would constitute husband material for her, saying, "I want a loving and caring guy. I do not have many expectations."
