Talking about Royal air I forgot to mention Siddhartha in n as ashoka who surpassed rajat.. (He did a cameo as shivaji too.. If it WD hve been full fledged it WD hve cleared the doubts that only rajat cn do historical)

N i hve to say he cant even match up with d physique of gaurav..leave acting

Besides, gaurav's character isn't about showing Royal Aura n keeping his face stiff throughout... As I mentioned earlier that char can be a wicked, brute warrior,obedient son, any ordinary guy...a flirt an entertainer n wat not...n gaurav is ACING that..!

This forum is about n for chandrakanta... D show has gaurav in it n he's nowhere overacted in d show...n yes we are loving him like crazy DTS y he's being discussed here .. Actually for me he's d reason to watch d show now

U said kritka is 2nd best in d show..but u kno.something gaurav has overshadowed her honestly didn't even find her strong as queen she just carried d look fr d sake of it bt m nt mentioning her here nt even bashing her but u are targeting gaurav on purpose here which is not acceptable... .u just can't force ur opinions on others.. Comparing this show with the DD show is not fair IMHO as they are both distincly different interpretations of the novel as per the demand of the era.

I havent watched the DD show (the youtube videos are of unwatchable quality) so cant comment on the actors or the story or the direction but Ican assume that the actors must have done a great job being remembered 25 years later.

PYP CK has played it safe by not sticking either to the novel or the DD version and has sketched their own show along the pulse of present day viewers. All major actors, including Krur Singh, are doing a good job though I agree that they are capable of improving and hopefully everyone would improve by leaps and bounds.

The weekend night airing might be a problem as many people have social plans, especially on Saturday nights. I agree that a bigger channel name (SP/Colors/Zee) and a weekday evening slot would have fetched a decent TRP.

Though I fail to understand the psyche of the Indian TRP audience as the most shows topping the TRP charts would trigger my migraine.

I didn't name siddharth nigam, faisal khan, rushiraj pawar , karthikeya malviya and many others coz they're still minor and young to play virendra.

Siddharth is even better than rajat was at the same age.

Gaurav ,aham,rajat are in the age group to play virendra. That's why I named these guys.

Now, I think it IS not unfair to compare gaurav with rajat or aham. My grandparents and I like their acting style so we can compare him with them. That doesn't take away the fact that whether gaurav can act or not

Now, if you think that comparison insulted GK , then I wanna say be happy I didn't compare him to shaheer sheikh.

@detox, weekends 9 pm slot is problematic. You've lot to choose from. 3 nonfiction shows, and even if you want to watch fiction, then there's koi laut ke aaya hai.

This show hasn't been marketed properly.

Or it would've been watched by many more.

But yeah, nikhil sinha's reinterpretation actually has alienated many orthodox people of that time. My grandmother hated siya ke ram to the core , and when we were watching this show on hotstar, my grandmother immediately recognised the show aS being the one produced by the same producer.

So overall there's a reason that nobody knows.

And ekta's version, if it has good acting and chemistry between the couple, then it might be a hit.

Now, there were a lot of excitement when krystyle dsouza or nia sharma were going to play the title role.

But when another actress joined in, nobody's even carrying.

The hype has gone down completely.
